Hypothetical BLAKE trades

Post#1 » by Piston Pete » Sun Feb 7, 2021 8:19 pm

Are there any that make sense for the other team?

I think the Heat may be a viable option.

As far as playoffs, they are on the outside looking in right now. They have the talent to make a run, but also have a good amount of expirings who aren’t performing for them.

To Miami:
PF Blake Griffin
C Okafor or SG Ellington

To DET:
SF Andre Iguodala (expiring)
C Meyers Leonard (expiring)
SG Avery Bradley (expiring)
SF Moe Harkless (expiring)

The only trades that make sense for other teams are ones in which we take back more money.... Which I think makes no sense for us to do.

Let him become an expiring deal in 14 weeks and then discuss a buyout with him. If he isn't willing to give up enough we can always keep him on the roster until the trade deadline next summer and then waive him after.

Love or Horford are the only guys that anyone would trade to get Griffin.

I don't think we need a new thread for this. One already exists.
