Pistons reportedly interested in Spencer Dinwiddie

This doesn't seem to make a lot of sense for the Pistons given the Nets have little draft collateral and it doesn't make a lot of sense for Dinwiddie given prior comments about us. Seems like this is just a rumor leaked by Brooklyn to try and create a market for a guy coming off an ACL injury with a player option. The Nets got a DPE for him this year; indicating his season is over.

I honestly don't know what Dinwiddie's value is coming off that but why do we want to be the team that finds out? He's 27 so I don't know if we would want to sign him long-term afterwards regardless. (and I don't see him agreeing either).

I don't think it's at all a given that he won't opt in.
