I hope everyone's following along with the season Bey is having. 10ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.1apg, while shooting 39.6% from three, and damn near 87% from the free throw line in 23mpg.

35 games is a pretty good sample size for a rookie, and it's now tensing towards Bey being an excellent selection. Seemingly landed a whale people, get excited.

Came in and was a dumpster fire. Harris took a rebound from him. He couldnt guard anyone.

Normal Sekou stuff.

That’s the issue with how we are mismanaging Sekou.

Maybe he is crap. But maybe he isn’t. Truth is, nobody knows.

Last season, he was the youngest player in the league.

But he quickly got yanked anytime he made a mistake.

This season, he gets yanked even quicker.

He just turned 20 a couple months ago.

But he’s gone basically his whole career playing in little 4 minute flashes, or less if he makes a mistake.

When he was drafted, everyone knew he was a project pick.

But since then, we’ve treated him like anything but. Make a mistake, ride the pine young kid.

He’s went as far as publicly expressing concern about his usage/role recently saying he’s basically asked to set screens and stand in the corner. Is that how teams develop players?

Now, I admit he might be a bust. But I still question whether we’ve really committed to ever developing him properly.

Mismanaging? You do know the players spend a lot more time in practice than in games, right? There is a HELLUVA lot more player development in practice where you're working on (and being coached on) a move, a shot, whatever over and over and over and over so it's ready to go when you play the game. Not to mention the fans don't deserve to have to watch a player get left out on the floor while he's playing like complete ass. I'm all for giving guys minutes but not while they flounder. You put them in and if they're unable to perform it's back to the gym, put in more work, and try again next time. With all due respect, don't claim you know more about how to properly manage/develop an NBA player than the guys who do it for a living. That's literally just silly because yes, they DO know what they're working with in Sekou. They're the ones who see him every day.

I was so high on Jackson earlier in the season he just hasn't been good lately.

Great hard fought game now we just need a clutch L.

I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to see the Pistons win this one. I kinda like the idea of them putting it to the Nets in their house.

EDIT: Well, I guess that's a moot thought :D

It sucks to hope for your team to lose, I don't think I could do it for another season even for a chance at Bates or Holmgrem

Return to Detroit Pistons
