Watching this game does.

Does it really matter who wins between those 2?

It's only one game but sure, I think we'd still rather see Minnesota get the win. Which they're not going to, but just relative to preference.

Is the rational is that the Rockets are a superior team and will win more games the rest of the way?

Is it just me or has Josh Jackson pretty much reverted back to what I'll call his "career" self, basically a 40%/30% guy? Not to say that he can't still be part of the Pistons' future but the bloom is off the rose a little for me.

For sure. And hopefully they do.

I think Minny is the better team, and I’m rooting for them to win games because I think there’s at least a slight chance we finish lower than them. Houston is likely a lost cause unless Wood just goes off every night.

I think it's safe to say this game is out of reach now, thankfully

He did have the nasty ankle sprain that sidelined him which likely threw him off his in season rhythm and shape. But it's looking like he is who he is at this point. He's always a flash in the pan type guy who can never really mount a solid improved season year over year

He's still young, but at some point, you have to know to let them go for a newer shinier younger guy

Hey, according to some on this board he's a unicorn and not keeping him was the biggest mistake in Pistons' history. So maybe he will.

They had 2 games. I’d vastly prefer one team getting both and hopefully some momentum over a split.

Which is what we got.

Also, good result here. Some heart, a comeback, and most importantly, a loss.

It’s not so much about lottery balls, as those are fairly evenly distributed in our area (bottom three is best, of course). It’s about default draft position. The lower we finish, the higher our final pick is guaranteed to be. Finishing worst or second worst would be huge, as it guarantees a top five pick no matter how much the lottery screws us.

I liked Blaha just now as Washington hit a triple to go up 16 with a minute and a half left..."That might have just slammed the door." Might have?

GB is old, man. Props to him for broadcasting so long, he’s a legend for sure, but he’s getting a little creaky.

agreed, also hes still quite selfish. I don't think he will ever be much more than what he is right now

I took the post as only referring to tonight's game since that was the only game mentioned, BRO

only finishing last will guarantee that. 2nd last gives us a 20% chance at picking 6th

I missed this one. Did Grant get hurt? 19 minutes is not typical.

Yeah, definitely props to the guys for coming back from down 30. There's some value in that.

Correct. My fault. Forgot about the added fourth lotto ball selection added a couple years ago.

EDIT: Wikipedia has a nice odds breakdown if you search “NBA Draft Lottery”.
