Actually, the player I keep thinking as a Piston is Mobley, so my bet is that we draft him wherever we end up. I'm hoping for Cade first and foremost though. I don't think we're getting screwed this year, but obviously, nobody knows.

So how about this...for anyone willing to meet up at an establishment of our choosing to watch the lottery, I'll buy all drinks from the start of the lottery show until the Pistons are announced.

I remember being so excited when the Pistons got lucky and got #2 in 2003. It was about the same time they were getting swept out of the ECF by the Nets. The excitement of getting that pick was insane, because the draft was supposed to be really good. We were an already good team adding what was supposed to be a young star to the roster.

Man, coin flip odds we gotta wait a month to see. Rough.

I'm not sure you'd pull many Pistons fans up to Toronto.

I was waiting for someone to say something like, "Wait--isn't the whole draft lottery show like 20 minutes long?" So it was somewhat tongue-in-cheek although it's something I'd certainly do and hey, the longer it goes before the Pistons are announced that means the higher the draft pick they got. So something to celebrate. I'd just have to make sure said establishment didn't have Louis XIII on the top shelf so some joker doesn't order a couple of doubles at $300 apiece.

Hahaha yep pretty sure if I cross the border, when I come back I have to quarantine for 2weeks. Might be worth it if we get the #1pick though

I predict #4. Hard to predict the order of 2-4 without seeing team names attached to the pick so I can't predict who could fall to them until after the lottery.

I was tempted to say that they'll drop to 5 because, well, that's the most likely scenario but I think the Pistons are due to be smiled on a bit by the basketball gods and it's funny when we consider dropping two spots to be a "win".

Draft lottery will be 20 years to the day since I joined RealGM. Feels like a top 2 pick will be coming our way.

Well #4 would take the guesswork out of it and leave it up to the basketball gods to give us suggs mobley or green.
