i'm really excited about the upcoming season but summer league ball is trash so there's a solid chance i watch five minutes and then shut it off... half kidding. the two things i'm most looking forward to seeing is how hayes has improved and how garza looks with his body transformation.

Yeah if Bey plays, it'll be similar to that one season where Jaylen Brown played and destroyed everyone and people questioned the need for the Celtics for bringing him on besides injury risk
Yeah I think Reggie Jackson played Summer League his 3rd year too and absolutely killed it.

Oh for sure. That one was a travesty since he logged actual playoff minutes and was killing the grit n grind Grizzlies. He had no business being in the summer league other than getting his cardio in

Stewart, Livers, Chris Smith OUT of summer league.

Saben Lee not on the roster as of now. (technically still a free agent)

Not surprising on Stew. He was still on the walking boot in recent photos. No need to risk reaggro the injury since bad ankle sprains can be a constant for anyone that played ball before

This is why picking Cade was the right choice, beyond his basketball skills.

His calm demeanor, ability to deal with the press (and answer stupid questions without frustration), looking out for his teammates, all of that. Kid is 100% a leader.

Evan is just as good, and Jalen Green is more electric, but it’s the leadership skills in and off the court that set Cade apart!

Winning is coming!
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Casey says Cade and Killian are 1A and 1B both will share PG duties and both will play off the ball as well... both will run pick and roll basketball to create for others. Hoping to play "position-less basketball" and not worry about labeling someone a PG, SG or SF.

Bey comments on Cade being able to play 3 positions, feels like he is a "vet" on the summer league team and he is trying to help everyone out. Says he hasn't normally been a vocal leader and has always been more of a lead by example guy.

If Cade is as good as projected and the lead shot creator he will still need a good secondary crearor. This is why he and Killian can be such a good fit together(if they develop to reach their potential). Even ball dominant player driven teams like the Mavericks are looking for another shot creator to lighten the load. I am hoping Cade and Killian can grow to fit that model.

Cunningham's comments about Summer League reflected leadership and a desire to win. As I listened to him, I couldn't help but think of Green's completely opposite comments on draft night about how he's getting rookie of the year. Cade is awesome to listen to talk ball.

Killian is the xfactor here if he comes back looking like last year then he's a lost cause but if he shows some development him and Cade can be special.

Bingo! If Hayes lives up to his billing/potential, this team is going to go places really, really fast. It's easy to dismiss Hayes because of his rookie season, but we all saw glimpses and if he puts it together, he and Cade(of he as well is what he seems to be)will be a killer combo both offensively, and defensively.

The trajectory could be more upwards then any of us expect.
