Pretty sure these summer league games will be watched by more Pistons fans than our regular season games... especially on this board. Seems like this summer league is going to be less about getting a look at players not currently on the team, and more about winning and playing our young guys together. I believe we have 15 or 16 guys on the roster but wouldn't be surprised to see most of the playing time boil down to 9 or 10 guys.

First game is tonight at 8:30 versus the OKC Thunder on ESPN 2.

What would your preferred starting lineup be? For me its the following.

G: Hayes
G: Cunningham
F: Bey
F: Sekou
C: Garza

I only hope they're telling the truth about Stewart- that he'd be playing if the regular season were starting today but there's no reason to risk it for Summer League.

Pretty hyped for this.

Garza will probably feast in SL. He was a unstoppable scorer at times in college.

Sweet, thanks for getting a game thread going. This is going to be a fun season to watch even through the ups and downs.

I wonder why Livers is on the summer league roster. Just so he can become part of the group and absorb some of it I suppose.

It is finally here. Our first look at Cade, the other rookies, and how the team will function. All that fretting before the ping-pong balls, all the absurd trade board threads afterwards, all the second guessing, now in the past.

Tonight, we witness the rebirth of Detroit Pistons basketball. It's been awhile since the team has been relevant on the national stage so tonight's summer league game on ESPN2 is a step in the right direction.

Now let's see if the product matches the hype.

This is the most hyped summer league game for me in a decade…when the traditional big man still mattered and I thought Drummond would be Dwight.

If they look awful tonight, let's not panic.

I'm already rabid. The vaccine failed.

I’m very excited for this game. I think we’re going to do very well and outscore everyone. Luka is a very confident player next to these guys, he’s bigger and older with a shot. He plays to win, you’ll see.

Drummond and Dwight are on the same tier now. Vet minimum guys.

obviously besides cade i'm most looking forward to seeing garza play. not that summer league is a great indicator of anything but we can at least see how he looks athletically. with his shooting and cade+hayes/lee getting him the ball i wouldn't be surprised to see him go off one of these games.

Can't wait for the usual overreactions and underreactions that is the Summer League. Wonder who is going to be Austin Daye this year
