Reportedly, DeAndre gets bought out in all this, so we'll have a roster slot available.

I’m not excited for this Deandre Jordan buyout. On a side note, I randomly ran into Saben Lee today

I’m a grad student at Vandy and saw him walking down the sidewalk. In my head I was like “I know that ain’t who I think it is”

Read on Twitter

Sekou for Jordan, a good chunk of money and multiple 2nds including two of our own. I don’t hate it

Could care less about the money at this point..the open roster spot is interesting..maybe they really like what they saw from Pickett in the Summer League..or maybe more to come.

One thing I hope this indicates is that Weaver isn’t planning to give long term contracts to next year’s substandard free agent class.

As for the trade itself, it was pretty clear Sekou was out the door. Okafor gone is a huge plus to me personally, he annoys me.

I take this as another small piece of evidence that, in Weaver’s head, we’re entering year two of a three year reconstruction before adding any potentially premium pieces with lots of money. At least I hope so.

Also wouldn’t mind if this roster spot is for Garza. I’m not sure the G League will do much for him. He’s gonna have some major issues in the NBA, I know, but I’d rather have a hard-worker on board than that schmo Okafor.

DeAndre Jordan might be the luckiest guy ever being a former 6'10 hyper athletic guy and also being best friends with Kyrie and KD. There was no way he was getting anything close to this type of contract before the Nets superteam was formed

I don't even think he was a viable starter in his last two years there. Just washed

Andre Drummond better make friends with Kyrie and KD next

Not a fan of the deal. I’d rather waive Okafor and buy seconds as needed down the road. This deal helps the Nets a lot. I’m guessing Presti wanted a first to take Jordan and the Nets so no. So Trader Troy did a deal for 50 cents on the dollar.

 I can get above the rim myself and I’m a bit taller than him. Pride tells me he wouldn’t dunk on me, but the footage says otherwise

The Pistons 22 second is a fairly valuable piece.

Love it for DET.

DJ will get bought out and DET dumped a couple busts for 4 SRP.

I'm pretty sure I like this trade, will like it more after the buyout happens on hopefully good terms. There usually isn't a huge discount - Blake's was the biggest I can recall.

I’m keen to see what happens with the open spot. I’m sure weaver already has something in mind for it

Hey yall Nets fans here. I appreciate your team doing us a solid.

Tell me bluntly, is Sekou really as bad as his numbers say he is? I looked at his advanced metrics and I wanted to vomit.
