Is Cade Cunningham fragile?

He got hurt in the summerleague. Now, he's hurt again? Wouldn't shock me is this guy is constantly hurt throughout his career. Personally, I don't see him winning an iron man year award.

Are you from the future? How did he get hurt in the preseason?

i always assumed his "calf soreness" in summer league was just a designation so they could sit him. pretty sure most of the other top draft prospects did the same thing.

I think they’re just more cautious with young players these days. There is little incentive to risk an injury in preseason or summer league. I remember back in the early 2000s when Antonio McDyess had a career altering injury in a preseason game with the Knicks. They played him a ton of minutes. Not worth it.
Too soon to be worried.

I remember him sitting out a few weeks in college too but I can't remember if it was from a ankle. But calling him fragile is a bit much seeing as he's also gonna be treated very cautious.

Overall, we've been overly cautious as a franchise with players. Rose, Blake, etc we have rested more than they have wanted to in the past. Hopefully it ends up being nothing. I looked at tickets for tomorrow's game and you can get $50 for club seats that include food and beverages which is super cheap, but I'm only making the trip if I know Cade is playing. If not I'm likely waiting until the Oct 30th game against Orlando to make the trip down to see them.

I'm more concerned about the wasting disease that took him from 6'8" in college to 6'6" by the draft. He'll be 5'8" by next season and never divulged his condition to the league. Kid's a charlatan, man.

I know what you mean. When he was listed at 6'8" I had high hopes, but what player who's only 6'6" ever amounted to anything? We was swindled.

Disappointing he’s out for the first preseason game (and based on what Casey said, probably for the next 2). Seems more like a bump in the road than a catastrophe

Again, I'm not saying he is...I'm asking? He was hurt in summer-league and now he's hurt. Also, he missed a lot of games in college. My question is can this guy stay healthy? Availability is the best ability.
