Garza, Saban, and Livers sent to the G league

That will be good for them all. Livers coming off injury and it will be good to ease him in to shape. I would rather see Saban get most all the minutes CoJo is getting. So, that's one that was somewhat surprising. And Garzilla will get some work in that will be good for him, though I was enjoying him in the minutes he was in with the Pistons. But all 3 will see big minutes and it certainly won't hurt them. Now the question is, how long will they stay down there.

Interesting to see Saben sent down there when the season doesn't start yet for a bit. I was thinking he was more likely to have some quick send downs rather than getting a bunch of practice time with the team. Hopefully he looks at it as a chance to work on improving his skillset rather than a demotion.

It's hard to root for this team right now.

Well at least with this information we can assume Cade is gonna play tomorrow which is good for everyone. I think Garza and Livers need it and I think Saben should be getting a bigger role than what he has now. But you never know how they’re doing in practice and how they’re beat out of their mins.

This is what the process looks like. We are where the Hawks got Trae. But for us so far Cade has only played one game so here we are.

Saben Lee isn't the point guard that needs to be honing his skills in the G-League right now.

Does this mean Livers is cleared to practice? Also who is the back-up big on the Pistons when Garza is with MCC? Locking themselves into small ball if there would be any foul trouble on Olynyk or Stewart.

Should've been Hayes instead of Lee but if he is not going to get minutes for us, at least let him play there and be a leader I guess.

While I agree with many posters that Saben Lee should be getting time with the team, if he's buried on the depth chart, this is the right move - same for Garza. Let them get full games in their system and work on their game instead of just being cheerleaders or playing five minutes.
That said, Garza's five minutes against Embid were precious - one of the few highlights.
Kilo - they do have Lyles.

Good move, these guys need playing time.
Any word on when Livers will be ready to play?
In any event, there's no chance that Lee is getting playing time this season. Casey has a boner for CoJo and they're going to do everything to try to get the most out of their 7th overall pick. No room for Lee now, hopefully when/if they deal/cut CoJo later in the season.

Kinda surprised to see Garza on that list. Not that he doesn't need the reps, but the next 2 games are against big centers. If stewart gets in foul trouble, we could end up with Trey trying to guard embiid.

Trey will be able to guard Embiid much better than Garza did, we were watching this at a bar last game, people were laughing watching Garza guard Embiid, he got crushed.

Basically means more Cojo shenanigans, so folks better strap in if they're watching
Surprised to see Saben as he doesn't really need it just based on his play from last season. But if Casey really wants to lean this hard into Cojo, hard to see Saben play unless Hayes or Cojo gets injured

This move solidifies CoJo in the rotation. Casey throwing him a bone

Wow! Also 4 steals and only 1 turnover. Quite a dominant performance.

Not to pile on Cory Joseph but this makes his contact look even worse if that’s possible.
I respect that he’s a good veteran voice but I’d rather have him in a Rodney McGruder role.
I think Saben Lee is the perfect player to push Killian. An unheralded 2nd round pick that appears to have improved in areas of weakness in the off-season should definitely get rewarded and have more opportunities.
Seeing how the season started, I think the playoff/ play-in fantasy should be over so there’s even less reason to ride Joseph over the young guys.

42/8/8 w/ 4 steals and 1 t.o.
And this guy can't get a minute?
Can we trade Casey to the Lions?

it's obviously better that lee and garza had good games vs. bad, but them having good games doesn't automatically mean they're ready for NBA minutes.
also - interesting that former nba players sekou dembouya and frank mason III were inactive in the lakers' first G League game. jaden hardy (potential top 3 pick) scored 6 points on 2/15 shooting in his debut.
