Bam got two early scores in the paint and Butler got a rebound that Garza should have gotten and then Butler got two freethrows out of the Garza foul... BUT still Garza was fine defensively he wasn't a glaring weakness or anything in his minutes.
It's more a general statement that if you're below average on defense you need to make up for it by being good on offense... if not you're not going to get out on the court. You can say the same thing abouut someone who is bad on offense... they better be good on the defensive end or else why would they be out there.
Bam got those two scores because Garza rolled to the ball handler who went by his man.
Tell the friggin' truth, bro.
Truth is we're going to have a hard time defending a Lowry or Butler pick and roll with Bam. Garza is going to have a hard time defending the pick and roll in general. That's partly on Garza not being able to show and recover to the big... having BAM get matched up against guards is 100% what Miami wants there and they got it.

Keep that up and we'll win the game, with GARZILLA as our starting center, right?
