Our easiest stretch of the season is coming up after a pretty difficult start to the season. 13 games, only 1 back to back and its a home back to back so no travel between games. We get 3 teams that play us on the 2nd night of a back to back with travel. Five games are against bottom 6 teams in the league in OKC, New Orleans, Houston, San Antonio X2). After this stretch from Jan 3rd til th end of the season we only have 5 more total games all year against bottom 6 teams (Orlando X3, OKC, & NO). Total 7 home games and 6 away games. This 13 game stretch includes 0 games against the top 11 teams in the Western Conference.

Dec 6: vs OKC
Dec 8: vs Washington
Dec 10: @ New Orleans
Dec 12: vs Brooklyn
Dec 14: @ Chicago
Dec 16: @ Indiana (B2B for them, play in Milwaukee night before)
Dec 18: vs Houston
Dec 19: vs Miami (B2B for us, but no travel between games)
Dec 21: @ New York
Dec 23: @ Miami
Dec 26: @ San Antonio
Dec 29: vs New York (B2B for them, in Minny night before)
Jan 1: vs San Antonio (B2B for them, play in Memphis night before)

Hopefully Cade does good at least. Would be real nice to see Bey actually start doing something as well, wow.

They need some wins, just for morale of the team. Would be nice to see Bey, Cade, Killian get their shooting/scoring up. Wouls also be nice to see more Garza and less Cojo.

It was brought up in the game thread, but I wouldn't mind seeing a change to the lineup.

Start Killian/Cade/Diallo/Grant/Garza. Bring Cojo/Frank/Bey/Lyles/Stewart off the bench. At least for a few games to 1. reward Diallo for great play and see what he can do with Killian/Cade on the floor. And 2. to add Bey/Stewarts energy to the bench to prevent us from completely going stale once Casey goes full change up on us.

OKC, Pellies, Houston and split vs SA are the only "easy" games. Pistons sure underdogs in all the rest.

For sure, when you are the worst team in the league like the Pistons there are not "easy" games. They have to go out and be ready to fight every night to give themselves a chance.

If anything, this stretch is just a month where we play more at home than away, avoid the top 11 teams in the West completely, get 3 teams on back to backs with travel, and play against the group of worst teams (ORL, SA, HOU, OKC, NO) 5 times which 50% of our overall remaining games against those teams this year.

I think given the information we have, and still likely being without KO for these 13 games, going 4-9 in this stretch would be solid for us. 5-8 would be great.

I suspect the Spurs will be a top 10 team in the West by the time we play them.

Another mini-break for the team now. Don't play again until Monday. Not like Casey will capitalize on the practice time in any way, though.

OKC has the same break. They'll be sitting on a 73 point loss until Monday, when they play us. Won't be surprised if OKC wins.

our push for the play-in game begins!

in all seriousness though it would be nice if the team was in more competitive games, even winning some.

Eh it's known that teams rarely have full practices besides tightening up rotations or to practice shooting. They're not going to tweak offenses or the like during that time

This'll be a time to rest and rehab any minor injuries that they got along the way

Well, they'll certainly break this winless streak. When you are the worst team in the league though, every game is hard.

The worst team in the league has the hardest schedule. That's just the way it is, by definition.

Still, we'll hopefully see some better play with weaker opponents.
