Bulls having significant covid issues. Can't field the eight player minimum.

Does that mean the Pistons won't play, or that they'll play someone else, or just no game that day, and make it up at the end of the season?

Feels bad, I wanted to see if Cade/Lee/F.Jackson/Diallo would continue to play well, after the game against Brooklyn.

I was down on Saben Lee after some bad games this season and not a lot of opportunities, but yesterday reminded me why I was so high on him after what I saw last season.

Don't think they announced, but last year they just rescheduled. Plenty of time to do that this early in the season.

Probably not the worst thing for us to get some extra time to prep for our 3 games in 4 nights stretch.

Thursday Dec 16th @ Indiana (7PM)
Saturday Dec 18th vs Houston (Noon)
Sunday Dec 19th vs Miami (6PM)

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll throw that game on later in the season when some of our young guys are playing better (hopefully).

Yeah, probably good that there's no chance this team goes out and gets embarrassed by the Bulls' G-League squad.

That game with a gutted Bulls roster was the only shot they had at beating the Bulls. Now they will have to face a full squad later on.

I'm just hoping the Pistons can win enough to escape being the worst team of all time, amd not have the longest losing streak in team, or NBA history.

There are six teams ahead of them for the worst record in NBA history in an 82 game season if they maintain their current winning percentage (.154) and the longest losing streak is 26 games. I think they're safe.

I have a tendency to agree as I believe the team is going to be making some moves within the next week, which should improve their fortunes to a degree.

With that said, if for some reason no moves are made,(odds are extremely low)they have their best chance in awhile to end this losing streak against the Rockets coming up. If they lose that game, well, it could get really ugly, really fast and then all bets are off.

More likely another team just has a bad game against us and we steal a W that we shouldn't. Guessing when or where is the hard part, but it'll happen. Eventually.

Of course it's possible that a particular team plays its worst game in it's franchises history.

Impossible is nothing.

Looks like this might become a pattern. Lots of teams announced multiple players out this week. Fortunately, almost the entire league is vaxxed, but they will all have to isolate. The league doesn't want a bunch of rescheduled games, so I'd expect some new covid restrictions to be rolled out pretty soon.

I remember playing with 6 players years back. When did 8 become the minimum?

i think you can play 6 (or 5 even) but you have to have 8 active for the game.

If you are forced to go that deep it may make a lot of sense to shorten that rotation to six. The 7th & 8th guy are potentially the worst 2 players under contract.

I don't remember the minimum ever being less than 8 but if it was it would have had to change with one of the CBA's. 99 mebbe? I don't think this is anything recent.

The infamous Kuester mutiny game. What a forgettable era of Pistons basketball. That's why I'm not terribly upset with where things are with the Pistons now; they're losing but at least it feels like there's a future here, unlike the entirety of the 2010s decade.
