Cade, Bey, Stewart in Rising Stars Game

After years of mediocre talent and no promising young players, it's nice to have a group of young talented players recognized by the league.

Gonna be interesting to see the new format. Essentially there’s a four-team draft (so each team has 7) and then they play a tourney:
Game 1: Team A vs. Team B
Game 2: Team C vs. Team D
Game 3: Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2
Games are played to a target score rather than timed.
I haven’t watched the rising stars game in aaaages but I think I’ll tune in to see the new format and hopefully some competitive games.

Not to sound like Eeyore but when I looked this up to see when it was and saw it was sponsored by Clorox my first thought was "Yeah, that's probably fitting--bleached out basketball."

I'll likely watch because it's still basketball (and probably nothing else more interesting on at that time) but I don't have any serious motivation to watch since I already know what these players can do in actual games. So this is kinda like the All Star game for me, which I lost interest in a long time ago. But who knows--maybe these young players feel they have something to prove and will take it more seriously than the All Stars (which is why I lost interest).

Turning it into a tournament feels like overkill.

Coaches pick 7 guys. I'm assuming they'll all get 3 rookies, 3 sophomores, and 1 G Leaguer per team.

Well all-star games have been lackluster in terms of fun and ratings for a while now. Them at least trying to spice things up with the tourny format along with the Elam ending games are good to see. Elam ending games were some of the most competitive all-star games in decades

Happy to see this. Mildly surprised that Stewart made it, just because I don't think he's been all that good this season. Definitely think Cade and Bey deserve it.

Man all these are good teams, Id lean toward team GP Or Berry. Berry is a big team with Mobley, cade and Wagner.

Yeah, Barry is stacked. Primarily rookies, though. Thomas has no rookies. The other two are mixed.

Don't forget Sengun. He and Mobley in the same front court is sick.

Team Thomas is probably the best but I could see team berry giving them a challenge.
Team worthy is like all guards, it’ll be interesting to see how they fare.

Obviously you can't tell how the team dynamic will play out, but on paper I'll take Team Barry ALL DAY. IMO you've got the three top rookies right off the bat.

This boils down to Berry vs Thomas.

I think Team Thomas is going to crush it. They have a lot of experience and a lot of talent.
