Post Trade Deadline Roster
Hayes
Joseph
Lee
Cade
Frank Jackson
McGruder
Diallo
Bey
Grant
Livers
Bagley
Stewart
Olynyk
Garza
I think this becomes our rotation:
Joseph / Hayes / Lee
Cade / Frank Jackson / McGruder
Bey / Diallo
Grant / Bagley / Livers
Stewart / Bagley / KO / Garza
I think Bagley will push Stewart for the starting C spot and Diallo or Frank Jackson might push Joseph out of the starting spot.

Re: Post Trade Deadline Roster
I think its pretty clear we'll be looking like this.
Backcourt: CoJo / Hayes
Backcourt: Cade / Frank
Frontcourt: Bey / Diallo
Frontcourt: Grant / Bagley
Frontcourt: Stewart / Kelly
Out of rotation:
McGruder
Lee (G League)
Garza (G League)
Livers (G League if he's ever healthy enough... may have been mistake to give 3 year deal)

Re: Post Trade Deadline Roster
I think Bagley will basically just take all of Lyles minutes and maybe some of Olynyk's if he doesn't start playing better

I hope Bagley plays center and KO plays PF, and I hope Bagley start for us. Stewart as starter is terrible, he'd be a good 20 mins backup/energy guy off the bench.
Lee will probably win G League MVP for people not following, he has been insane there. I wish we could give him another chance to play for us.

I would generally agree with this. But with keeping Grant, I think we’re going to play Bagley more at C than PF. Could get interesting

Re: Post Trade Deadline Roster
If Bagley ends up starting at the 5, I hope it's because he earned it. Hopefully he starts off on the bench, taking Lyles' minutes, and we go from there.
I don't think we see Lee or Garza in the rotation again this season unless we are low on depth due to injuries/COVID. I think McGruder continues to see time.

I wouldn't mind seeing how Grant (SF), Bagley (PF), and Stewart (C) work together just to get a look at it.

Maybe. Maybe not. That is why I would like to see it.

Re: Post Trade Deadline Roster
In the very short-term, we will be without Josh Jackson and Lyles (obviously). And Bagley likely won’t play until next week’s games.
So this weeks games, we might get extended looks at Garza (and Livers if he can suit up).

Re: Post Trade Deadline Roster
It's not a bad trade deadline. It will be interesting to hear chatter of what Weaver said no to, but sign and trade possibilities this offseason make just as much sense as trading him now. I don't think he's worth his extension numbers he's seeking, but you can't fault Weaver if he hasn't paid that number and is obviously open to moving him.
The truth is though that Cade's still the only real reason to watch the Pistons, and if Bagley is anything, it's about how he fits in long term with Cade, so I wouldn't mind seeing him get some starting minutes with Beef Stew while Grant collects paychecks for mysterious injuries. I don't care much about Bagley's position at the four or five with how the Pistons switch everything anyways.
I do appreciate Lyles. He doesn't play defense well at all, but he was giving effort out there, and his offense helped the Pistons out a lot of games. He wasn't nearly as bad a signing as I originally thought.
I sure hope the Pistons don't miss him. For the sake of entertainment value only, I hope Garza comes back. There's an element of unintentional comedy and smart basketball that makes Garza so unique.

Re: Post Trade Deadline Roster
They are not taking Bey out of the starting spot, I'm sure they will get to this lineup sooner rather than later
PG: Cade /Hayes
SG: Bey / F. Jackson
Sf:Grant / Diallo
Pf : Bagley / Olynk
C: Stewart / Garza

I'm okay with that.
I might like
C: Bagley/Stewart
PF: Grant/Olynk
SF: Bey/
SG: Diallo/FJax
PG: Cade/Killian
A lot of switching possibilities with both FC and BC mix and matching and riding hot shooters etc.
Casey needs to improve his subbing instead of sticking with the thoughtless 5 in 5 out bs he relies on.
Also would be nice to see more Garza and wtf w/ Livers being unavailable an entire season during a lottery year, would have been nice to see those 2 get some FC time on a team that struggles inside.
Hoping Bagley has arrived ready to Piston bang&battle inside for us.

I'm curious to see how Weaver is going to fill the available roster spot .
You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

That's what I had posted previously; one thing I like about this lineup is the versatility. You've a few guys who can serviceably play up to 3 positions depending on the opponent, and yes, it's definitely incumbent upon Casey to use the rest of this season to figure out which combinations work best. Or like you said, just ride the hot hand; keep going with what's working regardless of the "rules" of the rotations.

^^^Yep, and 7 of those guys can get you 20 or more points on a good night, so the offense should be improved.

Too bad Livers hasn't gotten healthy, pretty much a lost season where I thought we'd see him starting to contribute as a backup SF.

Bagley is OUT tonight (2/11)
Cade is listed as questionable (hip pointer)

I really hope Cade plays, I haven't been able to watch a full game since he went down.

I’m opposite. I hope he sits out tonight so he can be healthy for next week’s games - when Bagley should be able to play.
But no biggie either way….
