I still think Ayton is soft as hell most of the time but he is an asset.
My main goal was to trade Grant for an asset. Would definitely be ok with Grant for Ayton.

I think it's a year with sign and trade's.flow wrote:zeebneeb wrote:Your correct, I just looked it up! Thanks for that. I have never even heard of that rule before.Snakebites wrote:
Don’t you have to have 8 years in the league (plus 4 with the same team) to qualify for such a clause?
My feeling is they will most likely negotiate a sign and trade with a team that doesn’t have max cap space.
Now let's say he signs a deal with Detroit, and then PHX matches. I would assume there is at least a time period before he can be traded, yeah?
Three month wait, I believe.

Re: S&T deals for Ayton
If somehow the Pistons get Ayton, and pick Murray at 5, that's one hell of a front court upgrade for Cade, and Hayes to work with on the P&R and lob threats. Not to mention, Murray is a pretty damn good cutter off the ball as well.
We'll see, but I'm prepared for disappointment, and knowing Weaver, raised eyebrows as he seems to come out of left field at times.
