Chris smith brings to my mind Paul George. Good size at 6 ft 9 in, good handles to get to his sweet spots on the floor. As a junior he shot 34% from the 3. As a senior he was shooting 50% from the 3 b/4 he got injured. His handles allows him to project as more than catch and shoot. His improving 3 point shot, size and handles makes him a very good complement next to Cade. He is not ball dominant and would be a tough matchup for smaller guards. Like many players,as they age, his 3 point shooting appears to be improving, He can shoot up to the 3 point line off the dribble. I think he is a keeper.

He kind of struggled for the Cruise, didn’t he?

Only averaged 9 ppg and struggled with his shot?

I've heard a lot about Chris Smith, especially from my brother, but I honestly don't care as I don't think he has ever seen an NBA court.

Just how bad was his injury?

I've wondered about his recovery process myself. Torn ACL in his left knee with surgery in the middle of January in his senior season. Typical estimates are maybe 9-12 month for full recovery. When they picked him up I saw it as a sign and stash for this season. I'm hopeful that he just needs time to adjust after so much time off and is fully healed.
