TYLER HERRO

Once we know our position in this year's DRAFT (let's say top 5), would you trade it with Miami for Tyler Herro?
I think he would be perfect to accompany Cade.

What do you think?

Top 4? Absolutely not. Number 5? Probably not.

If the Heat trade Herro it's to acquire an established star player. Value aside, a lottery pick isn't what a team looking to compete for a championship is going to be chasing.

i think herro would have the same role if he were here, being a heater off the bench. pretty much any guard we put beside cade should be the "lead defender" so cade can save energy and herro definitely ain't that.

Things I want out of Cade's backcourt mate for the longterm : 1. Athleticism and rim attacking 2. Secondary facilitating 3. Perimeter shooting especially off the ball

Minimum 2 of 3. Herro only brings 1 of the 3 so absolutely not.

Herro is another Sexton type guy. I'd have some interest but I'm not backing up the brinks truck.

I just heard hes gonna get a max. So we would be trading a top 5 pick for a chance to max him. We need to draft another all star and then look to add a big free agent this type of move would hurt us.

Herro would be fine to pay big money for if you're not giving up anything to get him... just signing as a FA. Would be a mistake to trade a 4 year cheap rookie deal to give Herro $30 million per year.

Not trading our pick but i would love to add him some other way. He would fit really well next to Cade as some people are underselling him athletically as well as his playmaking.

Hero at 30 vs Ivey/Sharpe/Murray at 7 or 8? No thanks. The time will come soon enough when money gets really tight.

Bottom 5 teams don't trade out of the first round. Not if they're smart.

No. Not because I don't like Herro, but because you'd be trading a top pick + 30+ mil a year in cap space to get him.
