Game 75: Pistons (20-54) vs. Knicks (32-42) 3:30 PM EST
grant, hami and livers are injured, garza and lee are on g league assignment so we're likely firing up the cade, cojo, bey, bagley, stewart starting lineup.
it's looking like the knicks might get julius randle back, he's been out the last three games for the knicks.
i was really looking forward to this game to "scout" mitchell robinson for free agency but his back is acting up - he's not on the injury report for today so hopefully he's a full go.

This one is bad for the tank.

Not when you consider the Pistons' historic record in Sunday afternoon home games. You can almost guarantee this as a loss on that alone.

It's a good opportunity to watch our future center play.

Seeing more of the Stewart/Bagley combination interests me. They could be a strong backup pair in the long term if they can complement each other.

Shoot, that would make for a helluva bench front court. Certainly we've got some people here who envision a starting 5 consisting of five players who all average 20 PPG but that's not realistic, so I won't argue that either Stew or Bagley COULDN'T be a starter on a championship team. Probably not both, but both those guys together on the bench? That's two borderline starters.

Diallo's season is over. They shut him down a couple days ago.

Questionable foul on the Bagley block and the a poke away. Say what you want about his ability to stay in front of guys, but he has been giving the effort at the defensive end.

I'd take Bagley at $12 mil over Randle at $22 mil. Randle is not only terrible defensively, but he's kind of a cancer. Bat attitude, low bball iq, etc.

Is this the 3rd or 4th game in a row where we can't make a shot in the 1st Q? Last game it was Stewart/Bagley early and that was it.

Sacramento fans felt the same way about Bagley. He's had a good attitude for here sure though.

I have really tried to look at Bagley with a critical eye. Sacramento is a horrendous sports team. Not just NBA, but sports as a total. I felt like Sacramento was misusing Bagley, and from what I've seen thus far, that is an absolute truth.
I still don't know what his ceiling is yet, but he is not a bench player. He has a really good face up game, and has excellent hands. Decent back to the basket, and is fast as hell for his size.
His defense needs some work, but he is not lazy, or uncoordinated. What he really needs is a defensive teacher.
Absolutely a starter.

It pains me to say it, but Bey has been the bigger problem recently. We saw a Grant/Bagley/Stewart frontline for a just a couple of minute a few games ago, but that was intriguing.zeebneeb wrote:I have really tried to look at Bagley with a critical eye. Cade
Livers
Grant
Bagley
Stewart
Not going to win any championships, but based on who we currently have that is a lineup that I'd hope to see a little more of before the end of the season. Get bigger, longer and stronger on the boards.

Its probably not fair given injuries and the nature of the season, but so Im really not behind picking up Franks opton at this point. If hes not hitting from outside he really offers nothing.

I swear, I'm watching a replay of our last game!!
Bey/Cade/Hayes/McGruder/Jackson/Olynyk/Stewart = 2/20

The team looks like it’s falling apart to end the season should be great for the tank
