Is he a FA this summer? I believe he signed a 1 year vet minimum deal next year to stay with Miami.

It seems to me like he wants to stay in Miami, but I think he could be a good signing. I’d rather give him a shot over guys like B Brown, and others.

We can get Drummond and Griffin on minimum contracts, right? :)

I think we should sign Blake and put it in his contract that he’s Cade’s rookie. Carries his bags, gets his towels, all that.

Then we cut him to sign Pickett or Garza after about a week.

No way we start Blake unless we're trying to tank again or something. :-P

So 8 months ago who would've believed we'd see Nets bounced 1st round, Lakers not even make post season and does anybody believe Philly is anything but toast with the non 100% Embiid?

Boston is on a mission, 30-6 since 1/29/22 I believe.

Eta: Opps to us, it'll be clearer after the draft or at least our pick order. This is major anticipation time, driving me nuts really.

Blake, absolutely not. If Melo ditches the Lakers, I’m convinced Lebron will bring in Blake. Blake is like if the Orlando Magic version of Patrick Ewing kept playing after the one season.

Drummond I honestly wouldn’t mind on a minimum contract with a specialist role off the bench. With Andre being fully aware he’s not a regular contributor. But I’m thinking Charlotte or Philadelphia is his next stop.

I'm not too interested in any vets except those that people talk about as future coaches, showing they have some knwoledge to pass on to our team. They have to come cheap (vets min) and not expect any playing time unless emergency (to give our young core as much PT as possible).

Boston looks vulnerable even without the Bucks missing their second best in Middleton. I'm sure they'll turn it up in the next game but yikes

Also the refs clearly do not want the Grizzlies to lose. Some of those calls against the Warriors were really bad and momentum shifting. It's happened with the Minnesota series too

Weird response to my post but. This really seems like the bucks are destined to repeat. I legitimately want the grizzlies to beat the refs and at least make it to the wcf.

Just to add on, I only thought the Lakers would be a first round exit. It’s crazy they didn’t even get there. But that roster set up was a mess.

It’s crazy that Brooklyn saw all that was going on with Ben Simmons and still thought “what a great addition to our team”

I got mixed up with the other thread... :-?

But yeah Brooklyn did that AND gave up Harden which is next level crazy. Would anyone be surprised if Ben just decides to not play...again?

And just think...there are people here who were all over getting Ben Simmons. No friggin' way I want that guy near my team unless he's that final piece that you know will put you over the top.

I don’t see any real deal with teams in the playoffs. They are only looking at the Pistons for unloading salary or pooching a player. I can’t see Grant bringing a premium back right now. I’d rather spend the offseason taking on salary and first rounders. No more long term salary for second rounds. Plain silly.

I'd love to see Grant traded to either NOP or Memphis, he could help them take the next step and both teams have plenty of assets to acquire him.

Detroit Out: Jerami Grant / Saben Lee / Luka Garza / waive Carsen Edwards
Detroit In: Garrett Temple / Jared Harper / Jaxson Hayes / Trey Murphy / LAL 1st

Grant sign an extension 4 years 100-112 mil with NOP. We get Murphy and a lotto pick for him, Murphy can shoot and he could be good.

Detroit Out: Jerami Grant / Saben Lee / Luka Garza
Detroit In: De'Anthony Melton / Jarrett Culver / Ziaire Williams / Utah 1st

I like Melton off the bench and Ziaire have potential to be somthing some day. Utah 1st is garbage but it's a little bit more value for us.

JJJr / Adams / Tillman
Grant / Clarke /
Brooks / Anderson /
Bane / /
Ja / Jones /

Valanciunas / Nance
Zion / Herb
Grant / Snell
Ingram / Graham
CJ / Alvarado

The Pistons should just trade Grant and Olynyk or whatever to Boston for Jason Tatum.

If they have an office employee named Jason, we can probably pull that off.

Jayson would be a touch harder.

Not in the world of the Detroit Pistons RealGM board. Any trade that's desired can be made; the GM just has to make it happen.

Due to playoff meltdowns....
Phoenix - wIll they Max Ayton?
Atlanta - move on from Collins?
76ers - Harden max? Would we even want him?
Utah - Mitchell or Gorbert

So these players could all impact the PIstons. Even if we don't try and trade for any, we could certainly facilitate a trade with out cap space

Yeah Pistons have cap space to take on contracts for picks in 3 team trades to move guys like Ayton, Collins, UTAH star, etc.
