Seeing Orlando has the #1 pick and already have Wagner playing the SF. A #6 PF pick in Jonathan Isaac, a #7 PF pick in W Carter Jr and Bamba at Center...could one of these players be attainable in a trade? Who would you want and what would be the cost?

Bamba is a FA. They most likely won’t resign him.

He doesn’t excite me as a Pistons fan. I’d focus FA money elsewhere.

Orlando's not trading that pick for two reasons. One, they would want a huge haul just because it's a number one pick, and two, people know there isn't a clear number one, and really, outside of Smith, I'm not sure if any of these players will turn out to be anywhere close to an All Star. And really, Smith isn't a sure bet either.

I don’t think he is saying that they would Trade the pic they would trade the players that have redundancy of who they would pick. Mo, Carter etc

Oh I see that. The only player on that list that would be interesting is Wendell Carter, but given the likelihood they keep the pick and select Chet, they aren't trading the player that best compliments him. Still see nothing of interest for Detroit.

I.Hartenstein with the 22+PER is young and might be had for 'only' $15m. He will not be cheap imo.
I don't know much, but I'm guessing he is just well-rounded with no elite skills.

I'm not sure we have the right assets to trade with Orlando for #1. We don't own our 2023 first rounder. We don't have multiple 1st round picks in this draft. Guys like Saddiq Bey or Killian Hayes won't move the needle enough. We aren't trading Cade. You get the idea....However, if we trade Grant to Portland for #7 (long shot), I could see Orlando being interested in #5 and #7 plus like Saddiq Bey for #1. 3 for 1 is steep though, and I'm not sure I do that if I'm Detroit as there isn't a cant miss #1 this year.

Not looking at trading for the #1 pick.. Looking at the redundant rosters players they will have after they draft/

I think this means Bamba won't be re-signed.

I would absolutely take a flier on Bomba. Seems like an easy task, to see if he's got anything real to offer. No harm in checking.

I feel like the magic need to consolidate players into better players. Like they have WC.jr,C.Anthony,Fultz,Suggs,Wagner,Isaac. Like there is players you want there but no stars. There not looking to move down and add multiple guys or anything they need a superstar.

Don't think the Magic are good trading partners for us.

They have a collection of rotation players but no sure fire superstars. Outside of Cade we're in a similar boat.

The only trades i want to make are in the form of a sign and trade that wouldn't cost us major assets.

The Bomba talk won't end until he ends up on a different team.

And I get why we have that talk. Taking a flyer on a player like Bamba really fits with Weaver's MO. It's possible since there's now essentially zero chance we take a 5 in the draft.

Right on RealGM news feed its saying Orlando likely to move on from Bamba. I see no harm in testing the waters there. It also list's Portland as likely to trade the pick...

Given the cost difference, I can see an argument for going Bamba over Ayton. Especially if Ayton would cost us a lot of assets for a trade.

Why doesn't Orlando want Bamba and never really have been that dedicated to him? Are we sure hes starter type material?

Because Orlando's front office is run by idiots, and has been for a very long time, regardless of who they put in charge.

He needs consistent playtime, and he could absolutely be a rim protecting starting bigman, who last year shot 38% from three on 4 attempts a game last year, as well as 10 points, and 8 rebounds.

Orlando is a farm team for the rest of the NBA, and has been for over a decade now.

Why they never game him consistent minutes, when they are a terrible team, always confused me, but that's what Orlando does.

With Cade running the show, Bamba will look much better here in Detroit, then in Orlando, that much is pretty much guaranteed.
