Do people still think he’s going to develop? I didn’t really watch Houston this year.

That’s a horrible situation for him. I never believed in his one on one game and that’s all they do down there. We’ll see how he develops.

Perhaps a coaching change will help.

I still think Smith has all-star potential and could end up molding himself into a really solid two way player. That said, Banchero was clearly the guy that has franchise player potential out of this draft and he's a notch above. Smith looks more like a guy that could be a #2 option on offense instead of a #1.

Still really happen with Ivey and Duren and still think Duren too could mold himself into an all-star big man.

If so, I'll take a stab at it

1. Orlando - Smith (I'd take Banchero if I was them, they need a lead scorer in the worst way, but Smith appears to be pretty much a lock here)

2. OKC - Holmgren (Not buying any of the hype of him falling)

3. Houston - Banchero

4. Knicks - Ivey (Not going to predict the trade details but I think the Knicks empty the cupboard to get it done)

5. Pistons - Murray (Murray is the prototypical "Weaver guy". I can't see them not taking him)

6. Pacers - Mathurin

7. Blazers - Sharpe (They'll try like hell to trade the pick but fail to do so)

8. New Orleans - Daniels

9. San Antonio - Duren

10. Washington - Davis (another pick that could very well be traded, maybe a Grant destination?)

As far as MY big board is concerned...

1) Smith
2) Holmgren
3) Banchero
4) Ivey
5) Mathurin
6) Sharpe
7) Davis (I think people are sleeping on him)
8) Murray
9) Daniels
10) Duren

Guys I love: None really. I really like Mathurin, Davis and Smith but no real love like I had last year for The Big 4. Jalen Williams is another guy I really like, would love to take him if the Pistons get Atlanta's pick.

Guys I don't love: Murray (in the sense that he'd be the least pleasing pick for me at 5), Duren, Agbaji (how is this guy a top 15 pick?)

Jesus, what a dumbass

As far as Duren is concerned, I wasn't a big fan of him at Memphis, he looked like a project to me and displayed effort that came and went. He exceeded my wildest expectations as a rookie, was far more NBA ready than I gave him credit for despite having some rough edges to his game still.

2. Sharpe - he’s the perfect 2 in todays league with some risk. #1 class players rarely bust.

3. Mathurin - I think he’s so underrated. Still young and maybe he takes a Donovan Mitchell type leap as a ball handler.

4. Banchero - Detroit Blake, probably an all star down the line

5. Duren - the league undervalues elite rim runners these days. I think he’s a rich man’s Robert Williams which is an all star.

6. Jaden Ivey - I’m wary of his shot and I’m not sold he’s the Ja athlete scouts say. Regardless at the least he’s a role player.

7. Dyson Daniels - he reminds me of a poor man’s Cade which is an above average starter

8. Keegan Murray - TJ Warren, which I would not be thrilled for with a Top 5 pick

9. Jeremy Sochan - Can defend all positions and maybe he’s Draymond

10. Chet - I don’t see anything more than a specialist.

Dream: draft Sharp and trade up to get Duren.

Bump on this thread as we’ve had a couple weeks of basketball into their sophomore year. How does everyone stack up?

- sharpe has been great
- Paolo plays like a #1 pick
- Chet has looked great
- no one else has taken a giant leap
