Glad he’s finally gone but dang 2025 is a long way away and Milwaukee will still be good. This team needs help now not in 3 freaking years.

Apparently we swapped from the 46th to 36th pick too. There’s gotta be a follow up move or something coming… this milwaukee first is basically nothing

Grant's value was always way over-estimated. I imagine most will be underwhelmed with this return. But its about as expected for me personally.

I was firmly in the camp, that I wanted Grant traded so I'm happy with this. That Bucks pick might have sneaky value as well. By 2025 Giannis will be 30, Middleton will be 33, and Holiday (if he still around) will be 35. Bucks also don't have too much young talent already in house, and are pretty limited with ways to improve/maintain their team over the next few years.

I wouldn't be shocked if that 2025 Bucks 1st winds up being a late lottery pick.

Yeah mediocre to crappy return but who knows maybe Milwaukee will be on the down turn by then.

The 2025 first-round pick via Milwaukee is protected Nos. 1-4, sources said. Detroit sends Grant into a $21M trade exception, and Pistons now have $43 million in salary cap space for free agency.

Weaver with massive cap space in a pretty unattractive free agent crop, is scary though.

Hopefully the plan includes eating salary in exchange of assets.

Awesome deal this gives us a very valuable trade chip or we can just hold it for upside. Blazers could suck in 2025 big time.

For the record I knew Grants value wasnt all that high before this.

Let's go!!!

Grant's recent comments sounded very delusional. That probably hurt is trade value as well (outside of Pistons fans overestimating his current value).

it's officially the Cade Cunningham era. i really hope we don't blow the cap space on mediocre talent.

i wasn't hopeful of getting a high pick, but getting a sooner pick would've been nice. i am glad though that we've moved on from grant. he's a good player but we should be building purely around cade and grant's ball-stopping tendencies don't mesh well.

Honestly unless they know they are getting Ayton for nothing besides cap space, I don't get it. Or of course if they are getting Bradley Beal/Zach Lavine. But that ain't happening.

Pretty bad return by any standard. We should’ve traded him when his value was at an all time high mid way the first year of his contract. This is just another example of example of average asset management, unless there’s something greater going on here like wanting to max Bridges or help Charlotte out with the their Hayward problem getting 2 1st round picks in the process. Not liking this as it stands, but will wait until after the draft to see how the dust settles
