Drummond's 0 going to Duren. Really going to trigger some fans with Drummond PTSD.

Duren choosing "0" is disappointing. Is he aware Drummond wore that last?

Don't mind Ivey choosing 23 TBH though.

Let’s turn #0 positive.

1. Hopefully he’s never watched Drummond play

2. Hopefully we soon forget Drummond and associate the number with Durens success.

I knew Ivey would be excited to be here but just listening to that Duren clip hes super excited. Said he wont even let anyone touch his Detroit jersey cause he loves it so much and just being here.

Were building a nice culture

Duren’s my guy now. Holy crap I’m psyched about that kid.

It’s really hard to believe he’s 18. Pretty composed, deep voice, built like a tank. He’s going to hurt people’s feelings on the court real soon.

Yeah , I dived into Duren right after the NCAA season finished and the more I learnt the more I bought in.
I had him slotted around the 15-20 range earlier, and by the time of the draft moved him all the way to 6th.

Sounds like Weaver felt the same way as us

There is no question that just a few years ago, Duren would have been picked in the early lottery, top 5. Not every player needs to have a 3 point shot, or even shoot at all.

I'm absolutely stoked about this kid. He is big, and he plays like he knows it.

The question about Duren is whether he plays within himself. If he focuses on D, rebounding, rim running, pick and roll.... he's going to make a contribution and hopefully develop into a really solid big. You can't teach that type of size and athleticism. If his ego starts getting in the way and he starts thinking he's a primary scorer? He doesn't have the skill set for that at this point. Also 62% from the line isn't going to cut it for a guy who plays that physical.

These two players are going to be so good for the Pistons. If you watch till the end of the video, you can tell that Jaden just can't wait to put that jersey on and get on the court.

For sure. He does have a nice shot. I think that 15 footer develops. Just have to give him time, he’s so young.

With Cade and Ivey here, I think he’ll know the pecking order, which is really nice for him that it’s setup this way. I liked Reggie, KCP and Monroe, but none of them struck me as Alpha leaders.

This was draft night championship. Embrace the feeling of it.
