Welcome to Detroit Buddy Boeheim!

Signed last night to a two way contract, Buddy gives the Pistons depth as a three point wing threat. Likely more of a role player until he get stronger defensively, he's been compared to Luke Kennard.

All ACC, 6'6", high BBIQ, a good handle and moves well without the ball. Nice to have another developing three point option.

Pretty likely Weaver's time as a Syracuse assistant played into it. Hopefully in a good way.

I thought it was someone just being funny because their cousin from Boston just got into town.

Yup, Weaver and Boeheim have strong ties. I can't see much upside in him but he's fine taking a 2 way slot. Not really something to get worked up about. It also even further explains why we went draft and stash with our pick at #36 because we're limited on 2-way spots if we promised one to Boeheim.

lmao it looks like some kind of nepotism signing is gonna happen every year. i wonder if jim boeheim called up weaver when he took over as GM 3 years ago and said, "hey troy, can you do me a favour...".

it's like one of those make-a-wish foundations where we're making kid's dreams come true of stepping on an nba court.

I didn't realize that it was his kid. I figured at coach's age that it was his grandson/nephew/cousin.

He’s probably a high iQ player, who will find his way to working for the organization in other ways down the line.
