Have we done this? Anyway -
Bagley (30) / Stewart (18)
Bogs (32) / Livers (16)
Bey (32) / Hami (16)
Ivey (28) / Burks (20)
Cade (36) / Hayes (12)
Mop up - Noel, Joseph, Knox, etc.
Duren in the G-league at least for the first half or so.

No way Stewart has put in that much work and gained a 3 point shot to be relegated to an 18 minute bench role.

I don't think they'd start him over Bagley after giving Bags that contract.

I feel pretty confident Stewart will be getting at least 25 minutes per game (more likely 28-30). That steals minutes from both Bagley and Bogs. Here's what I got with some positional fluidity (ex. Stewart will play some of his 28 mins at the 4 and 5 but wanted to keep it simple as I have him slated a starter). 9 man rotation to start the season. Ideally I'd want to play Killian more minutes I just don't see how its possible.
Stewart (28) / Bagley (20)
Bogs (30) / Livers (10) / Bagley (8)
Bey (32) / Livers (16)
Ivey (28) / Burks (20)
Cade (32) / Hayes (16)

This looks close to me.
Bey/Bogs is a pretty bad defensive combo, especially against larger lineups but against anyone really. But we don't have a "good" NBA lineup- not yet.

Do you think he got a major payday/starter money?

Lower end starter. Robinson, Looney, Claxton, Carter, Holmes.

Its amazing that the Pistons have now have a team filled with legitimate NBA players, with real talent, so breaking this down takes actual thought.
Cade
Ivey
Bey
Are the locks. 100% gonna start day 1.
I also include Stewart in this as he is the teams best defender(as stated by coach, players, e.t.c.)amd his expanded game means he can play either the 4 or 5.
Its the last slot that's interesting. Bojan in the starting 5 would make the offense, and spacing absurd for Cade, and Ivey to operate in, but it would once again create a starting 5 with no aerial threat, which is uber important for Cades game, and more then likely Iveys.
Knowing all of this, this is the starting 5;
Cade
Ivey
Bey
Stewart
Bagley
My reasoning is that early on, they are going to see if Stewart can be the knockdown shooter they, amd us are hoping he can be. If he can, its a cure all for the starting lineup. A knockdown shooter, defense, lob threat, and driving starting lineup.
It doesn't get any better then that. Bagley will be the first sub, for Bojan, then Ivey for Burks.
It then becomes;
Cade
Burks
Bey
Bojan
Stewart
Shooters delight.
This is an absolute killer starting, and bench lineup. All they lack is experience, and gel time. If Cade has a Doncic level second year, well, watch out.

I’d be sick if Noel started over Stewart

Weaver was tryint to trade for a starting C (we were linked to Mitchell and Ayton) I doubt he still see Stewart as a startr. He have too many unfixable holes. He is a fine player and willbe great off the bench for us.
Duren should be the starter eventually (if he develops well). Noel is just a stop gap veteran that provides a few things we need and that Stewart doesn't provide. Troy Weaver likes Noel, he might start. Stewart is still going to get his minutes.

i'd put bojan's odds of starting at like 99.9%. he's started every game he's played in the last four years, and that was for a playoff team.

i think we were bound to have a bad defensive team either way, but bojan at least gives us a better chance at having a decent offense. it's only for a year, the defense can be fixed later when we're actually trying to win games.

Stewart 28 / Bagley 20
BB 32 / Livers 16
Bey 32 / Diallo 16
Ivey 24 / Burks 24
Cade 34 / CoJo 14
With Duren gettting spot minutes to start the season but working himself into the rotation by mid season.

Against any team with a 20+ PPG scoring forward, its going to be bad news for us to start Bey and Bagley together. They were both bottom 15-20 defensive players in the league among players that played 20+ MPG last season. Hopefully they both make strides forward, and Bojan also isn't a good defender, but overall we're going to be better off with Bey and Bagley not playing most of their minutes together if they don't take steps forward defensively.

Not going to see that every game but

Diallo is not gonna be happy but I can't see him beating out Livers or Burks for minutes on the wing.

Looking at that possibility, our a bench would be
Joseph
Diallo
Noel
Knox
McGruder
Duren
The five vets could make up a halfway decent backup unit themselves. Quite a bit more depth than we've seen in years.

Diallo is the only guy in that group of 5 vets that has any value.
We all don't like Cory Joseph for a reason
Nerlens Noel is a nothing burger
Kevin Knox is firmly among the worst players in the league
McGruder is an end of the bench player on a bad team type of talent
If any one of the 4 above players play regular rotation minutes, something will have gone wrong.

Cade/Killian
Ivey/Burkes/Diallo
Bey/Livers/Diallo
Bojan/Stewart
Bagley/Stewart, Duren
MacGruder, Noels, Knox, Joseph mopping detail.
We all know with injuries and matchups and so forth these are in reality moving parts to a machine.
What I do know is that these Pistons are going to be stroking and running superior this season with the additions of-
Burkes
Bojan
Ivey
Duren
Im ready to rumble, get the season on!!
