“With the first selection in the 2023 NBA draft, the Detroit Pistons select…”.

And Noel and Knox are pretty much irrelevant.

I expect Noel will get minutes.

Yea, sadly, I'd rather just have Duren running around out there not knowing what he's doing and still manning the boards.

If it were up to me, I'd start Duren at the 5.

Duren gets into foul trouble too fast, so Steward will be playing more in the end.

I'd like to know Noel's status. He's suddenly become more important in the short run while Duren learns his way. I'm assuming Burks takes Cojo's minutes as soon as he's healthy.
If Noel's not going to be healthy to play for some time, a Duren/Stewart center rotation is all we've got. That could lead to Bojan getting starter minutes with Livers/Key filling in at backup PF.
These injuries are opportunities for Diallo and even Knox to get on the floor if they get healthy. Those that can suit up will get the chance to show their value. Not the worst problem in what I see as the last developmental year.

The problem is we need height, we're getting killed by opposing teams' big men right now for easy layups.
We need to trade for a 7 foot 250 lb Center A.S.A.P to man the fort, do I dare say, Drummond ? LOL

Even at the league minimum, eww. He still thinks he's an offensive weapon outside the arc.

It amazes me how bums like Kevin Knox get a lil bit of $$ then end up hurt

Weaver decided against signing Ayton once Duren became available to him draft night. (
whatever). He's not making a move for another center now. Noel fits the bill for what you're seeking.

OMG have a sense of humor life is too short to worry about Drummond coming to the Pistons.

Yeah, I could see foul trouble being a limiting factor. Between that and injuries we'll have minutes to go around despite our "depth".
It's a good problem to have.

I don't think many people here thought the Pistons would challenge for much of anything this season, injuries aside. For most of us it seemed like making the play-in game was the likely limit, and that took everything going right. It was implied by at least one poster that the addition of Bogdanovic represented something of a "We're ready now, go for it" move; I personally don't hold that opinion. I think that was just adding a good vet with hopefully enough years left in the tank to start now then move to a super sub role, or just become a trade asset. Point being, the injuries now, especially since it's not key players injured, don't really do any harm. I know there's a small contingent here who like to push the "Cade will get sick of losing; something needs to be done soon to start winning" doom and gloom scenario but to me that's premature. This is Cade's SECOND year. His projected long time running mate is a rookie. No one is going to convince me that Cade--who seems like a pretty sharp and well put together kid--will be stewing about losing games this year.
And there CERTAINLY is a contingent on this board who would prefer a tank for Victor season anyway.

So far Pistons showing they can't win games with the lineup they have, that can play.
