Kings over the Blazers is a strange one to me. Dame, Grant, Simons, Hart, Nurkic is a pretty solid starting 5 for the Blazers. Plus for the Kings Keegan Murray is in health and safety protocols and will likely miss the first game.

I was going by preseason records and playing at home, if Sac loses I would be shocked, their only giving up -1.5 points

SAC.... W/L = 4-0.... points average = 117-89
Portland ....W/L = 0-4..... points average = 97-119

Those Blazers that were 0-4 in the Preseason are now 4-0 in the regular season with the best record in the NBA. Those Kings you bet on are now 0-3 in the regular season. Shows you how meaningless preseason records are once the real games start. Blazers had a lot of new pieces coming together, but are clearly the better team.

Good advice. I won't usually bet on individual games at all because the NBA is such a crapshoot with inconsistent efforts. Plus the sportsbook takes a % so even if you're a bit better than 50% you'll have a hard time coming out ahead. Usually I'll bet on a few things such as some futures bets (like Ivey for ROY) but don't ever sink any real money into it its more about just making a few small bets for fun.

Overall there is a reason you see nonstop ads for sports betting, because the house always wins.

It should be noted that the sports books now have Coach Casey as the third most likely to get canned this season, at 10-1, right after Nash (3-1) and Doc (2-1).

I don't bet on sports, but I figured I'd deliver the good news.
