Why try and force 2 centers to play together? Makes zero sense to play them out of position.

Yeah…. Much more likely to have duren and Stewart play together if you want size out there than wiseman and duren. Today the heat got open 3 after open 3 with wiseman and duren on the floor.

Nope, the Pistons are locked into futility on a scale not seen around here since 1980.

This confirms Troy Weaver's plan to be competitive was a success.

Not only did we compete for best tank in 2023, we won!

I know you're being facetious but can't help but at the very least appreciate long term plan in place to actually execute it for the future. Whereas in the past we said "screw that" to any long term potential by winning a handful of random games with 10 to 15 games to go before the season ends. Thereby having wild swings from either being the 5th pick to 11th before Weaver's tenure

None of that brain dead "moral victories" to close out the season against playoff teams resting their best guys BS

Weaver = Hinkie

You know how I knew that? We traded for Bey with a pick that's protected until 2027. That's when I realized we're gonna suck for 4-5 years. I saw it coming that he wants to tank for that long.

Weaver placed our organization with a bright future. Imo he's been genius on draft night, been weak and uncreative at trading and he's been good at free agency getting Jerami Grant, Bogan trade Burke trade were basically our free agent signings of last summer.

Trust in Weaver. First he needs a draft position before making the next move. I think Casey is gone. If we get top 2 pick we'll draft Wemby and scoot. At 3-5 Weaver will likely take trade offers until draft night. Brandon miller is good but not that good and I'd rather Weaver get us OG S&T and drop down the lottery for another wing player that he sees a good future with like OKC with Jaylen Williams last year.

The good news is if Weaver is bad this summer then he'll be on the hot seat and we already got all the high picks we needed so a new face doesn't have to draft as well as sign and trade players. In my opinion Weaver was able to sell more tickets, get high talent with full potential, sign the right players to good sizable contracts. He's not going anywhere for another 2 years. He still hasn't blown any money on any player yet so he's bought himself a lot of time!

Weaver is not Hinkie.

Hinkie got rid of every decent player on the team and didn't go after anyone in free agencies. He went scorched earth from the jump with the intent to become the worst team in the league.

By contrast, Weaver started his tenure by signing Jerami Grant, and he's been acquiring vets all along the way.

* Hinkie failed, by the way. It's not a compliment saying someone is Hinkie.

Hinkie accomplished NOTHING after three seasons of blatant tanking, was forced to resign, and now the 76ers are somewhat relevant 5 YEARS LATER with exactly ONE Hinkie player remaining on the team (Embiid). Claiming that Weaver is Hinkie, either as a compliment or an insult, is completely off base.

Starting to think the Pistons get screwed. What are our options with the 5th pick?

If the Pistons would have finished 5, you all would be crying, why didn’t we tank for last place!

That's not getting screwed. They have greater odds picking 5th than not.

Nope. They have greater odds of picking 5th than any other specific spot 1-5. But they have greater odds of landing 1-4 (52.14%) than at 5th (47.86%).

Yes it is. To have a better chance of landing 1-4 and finish 5th is getting screwed.
