Alec Burks - “Probable” tonight. Expectations?

We finally get to see Burks in a Piston uni!

I’m not expecting much tonight, something like 10-14 minutes, 1-3 on 3s, 8 points.

As for the future, he still seems like an ideal trade candidate, especially as Cade/Ivey/Hayes all start hitting 40% of their 3s.

He plays limited minutes, doesn't get too many individual/counting stats, but stabilizes the bench and has a clear positive impact.

EDIT: Better way to put this - he makes the current bench players visibly better

He goes 0/4 from 3 and ends the season shooting 33% lol. Detroit everyone forgets how to shoot.

Anyone ready to join the Alec Burks train yet? I've been saying since last season that we should trade for him. I hate the trade we did to acquire him, but he is a good player and his skillset is perfect for us. He will be here next season.

I think we need as much bench scoring as we can get, so happy to have him healthy. It'll be nice to get to full strength on the bench. If we get so we can run a bench unit of Hayes, Burks, Bog/Bey, Livers, Bagley, I think we'll be in good shape (holding onto the dream of starting Duren/Stew together in the front court). Sadly, that probably puts Haimi on the outside looking in, which is a bummer, as he's played better lately. I just don't think it's a good idea to consistently play him and Hayes together.
