Which of these current players is the best player in 3 years?

Which of these current players is the best player in 3 years? These are all the current Pistons draft picks, except for Cade because I feel like he would easily win this poll... so I'm wondering what the board things about the rest of these guys. Who is the best player on December 9th, 2025???

I voted Duren mostly because I looked at it as best player "at their position" and center seems less competitive than guard positions.

I know what I want the answer to be — Duren.

Most likely answer is obviously Ivey.

There’s a clear ceiling on what Stewart and Livers can provide. Livers and Bey are the oldest and poorest answers.

Killian is the wildcard. Unlikely he ends up the best, but not impossible.

I actually think Duren has a legit shot to have the best career out of everyone on that list, but I do think he's less likely to be the best in just 3 years time because he'll still be just 22 years old and still on the upswing of his career. It feels like many here have soured on Ivey a bit and perhaps Duren is looked at the better prospect at the moment... but as we know that's an ever changing thing around here if we rewind to Bey dropping 51 last season few would have put him on the bench with Stewart starting but here we are months later with that being the scenario.

That's actually really hard. Stewart & Livers feel safer but have lower ceilings. Bey has the tools to be a good scorer, but is limited in other areas.

So I guess I roll with Ivey/Duren as my high-potentials. Both bring elite physical tools. That can't be taught. Both are high risk but gun to my head I'm going to say Duren. If everybody develops as I hope/expect then Duren is dominating the paint.

Hayes is the wild card. I'm not bold enough to actually pick him, but he's taught me not to bet against him.

I see Duren as a potential All nba center down the road. Obv still work to do esp on the ft%. Im expecting to see some big offseason jumps in the future.

I agree, but I feel like there will be multiple offseason of adding different aspects to his game offensively. Hopefully this first offseason really work on the screen and pop to an open space to knock down those 14 to 15 footers at the FT line elbow area. Eventually working himself into a player you throw the ball to down low but that is probably a few seasons away.

Even with just a little improvement on offense he could be a near 10 and 10 guy with 2 blocks a game in 24-28 MPG next season. Obviously if he starts next to Stewart next season that would put him in a spot where his rebounding numbers take a bit of a hit because Stew is also a very solid rebounder.

I think despite some of his rookie struggles it is most likely Ivey, but if it ended up being Duren I wouldn't be shocked.

In 3 years, I think it will be between Ivey or Stewart (Hayes is a wild card for me too).
I'm realy optimistic for Duren but 3 years could be a little short. If the poll was "in 5 years", I could vote for him.

I'm actually a bit surprised no one is picking Stewart. The path for him to be an 18 and 10 guy with good defense is pretty simple. He's been shooting the 3 ball really well (after a slow start to the season) so its really about upping his minutes a bit to the low 30s, and upping those 3 point attempts if he stays above 40%. He's been hitting all over too I thought he'd mostly be just a screen and pop guy but he's even been camping out in the corner while guys like Ivey or Bojan go to work at times.... allowing Bagley to be the screen guy.

I'm voting Duren not only because of his impressive physical stature, knack for rebounding, or his soft touch around the basket, but because he is the prototypical big center, that will truly excell when paired with a guard with even decent court vision.

This team has two high end guards,(court vision)and one that has better then I thought.(Ivey)

That means whenever he's on the court, he will have a gaurd getting him easy baskets, because he can go and get those passes.

Stewarts path to this is much more difficult then Durens.

Well, if Duren is the best out of this group in 3 years, he's likely looking at a huge contract because he'll be an RFA following that season. The quicker he develops the sooner he cashes in on that first post-rookie contract.

Duren likely won't be anywhere near peak three years from now.

In this order for me:

Ivey
Stewart
Duren
Livers
Bey
Hayes

If Killian keeps his recent confident play up the rest of the year, he slips in before or after Stewart. I would love to be wrong about him, as I've been off that train for years. Beginning to see why so many stayed on...

For those doubting Stewart, I ask that you just imagine him on a team like Boston this year or in three years in more of a Grant Williams role... or any team that's already playing winning basketball. He seems like a great piece for any team that can defend 4 positions. And his shooting seems to already be better than what I had hoped from him three years from now.

If you listened to his off-season interview and quotes, Stew already thought he had the purest three point shot on the team. That probably goes to Bojan now, but Stew doesn’t lack confidence.

I projected Stew getting up to 38% on about 4-6 attempts this season. He started the year poorly and is probably losing shots to Bojan, but he might still get up there by the end of the year. Long-term I really like a potential Stew/Duren pairing up front.

1st career start for the youngest player ITL. He goes against a very tough Mem front line. 5/7 10pts 12reb in 27 mins.

I like Duren, what he brings to the table for this team and what I think he will have to offer in a few years seems like he's going to be crucial to us in the not too distant future.

Ivey is going to be very good as well, I just view Durens future 2 way impact as likely more valuable.

I just want to see Duren get his first experience with Embiid. That will be fun

It’s crazy how his rebounding was a little concerning during summer league, now he’s a monster lol.
