Just a last reminder.. The early games are usually at 6, or 3,.. Pre-game starts in 7 mins.

My tinfoil hat spidey-sense wonders how serious Bogey's illness really is.

all i know is he's the one player i feel we need on the court to even be competitive. this game is certainly looking to prove that.

I don't know how we managed to be only down 7 at halftime... It was really bad most of the time.

Re: Pistons-Knicks (1pm)
Casey is the worst coach i have ever seen in the time I have watched the Pistons. Decades of basketball, and I have never seen such a gutless wonder.
WHY he didn't challenge that call is beyond me.
Loathe him. Will not stick up for his players, and that is a cardinal sin.
Fire his dumb ass already Weaver, and if he won't do it, Gores you fire him you coked up dumbass. Somebody fire his ass.

Yeah. And that's with an aging player playing the best ball of his career. How do you progress upward from that?

Re: Pistons-Knicks (1pm)
Not the worst effort for a team missing 3 starters. Nice to see Bey hitting his shots, seems like he has his confidence back. Stew seemed a little rusty but looked improved in the second half. Ivey still making some poor decisions/questionable shots but there was a lot of good sprinkled in there too. If he manages to minimize those bad parts of his game as he develops he will eventually be a beast.

Re: Pistons-Knicks (1pm)
I never thought the Lions would be Detroit's best hope, but here we are.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Re: Pistons-Knicks (1pm)
I've just been watching highlights recently, but does Ivey's mid-range game seem more developed then at the start of the season?

Ivey is so athletic, but his defense sucks.

He's listed as "DNP - non-COVID illness (trade bait)"
Hmmm...

No way he’s worse than Keuster, Cheeks or even Frank.

Michael Curry and Ron Rothstein were worse. "fire him you coked up dumbass" is a glorious sentiment, though.

Re: Pistons-Knicks (1pm)
Well they competed on defense. Might've been one of Bey's better defensive games. But they were just too out-sized and too outgunned offensively without Cade and Bogie.

Re: Pistons-Knicks (1pm)
I missed this one, but that's pretty much were I'd want to be. Play hard, compete defensively and lose to superior talent. *shrug* It sucks, but that's kinda our ideal outcome these days.Kalamazoo317 wrote:Well they competed on defense. Re: Pistons-Knicks (1pm)
Kuester left Rip Hamilton in his/our 1st or 2nd game, being up 30 points with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Rip has a bad ankle injury, and is NEVER the same player again, and retired quite early.
But yeah, all those names - Curry, Rothstein, etc.... no good. Some are just made to be assistants forever. Those guys couldn't lead any team.

Re: Pistons-Knicks (1pm)
And of course, the most legendarily bad Pistons coach is in the HOF. Awesome, baby!
My first Pistons game was in the 1980 season, but I was too young to evaluate Dick Vitale's coaching. Dr J was cool.
