Not sure what playoff team is bad enough to want him. Maybe Dallas?

There was like 5-6 teams “interested” in him at the deadline, maybe one of those.
So Denver is out because of Bryant, 76ers got Dedmon, Heat got Zeller, Clippers got Plumlee.
I’ll guess Dallas

Warriors are a tiny team that desperately needs a rim protector.
Has Noel declined? Hows is his health?
In my dreams Noel will be a big part like 18 minutes per game of helping the Warriors win the 2023 champioships.
But if the Pistons were not playing Noel then maybe he is not that good. Kerr will play guards at power forward and undersized centers before he will play a big man who is not that good.

If you want him to get some rebounds and block some shots, that’s what Noel’s good at.

1- Noel was acquired so we could add second round picks.
2- he played like 1/3 of the games he was available for.
3- we just cut him.
That’s the entire Nerlens Noel Detroit timeline.
I’m pretty sure he was healthy the whole time.

He is fine. He will do well for GSW if they sign him. He is a smart veteran and can still play and defend. He was probably our best defender in the limited games he played.

Sounds like exactly what the Warriors are bad at, so he’d be a good fit, and that’s why we won’t sign him.

Sounds like a perfect fit.
Does money matter? Can other teams offer more money? He will be looking for a new contract this summer. If Noel plas well as Looney’s back up the Warriors should at least get to the conference finals which would give Noel a chance to prove he is still good and get a bigger contract this summer.
The fit of Noel with the Warriors is so obvious that Even Bob Meyers should recognize it. Getting Kerr to play somebody taller than 6’ 6” will be the hard part. Getting Noel to choose the Warriors might not be easy. Other teams also want him.

It’s crazy to read the Brooklyn board and how much they value this move. I get that we just had him sit to see if we could trade him for anything, but i never really thought he was anything unique. Like he had a very good first season with the Knicks, but it wasn’t worth the contract they gave him.

They've got Claxton and a bunch of guards/perimeter players. They need a body.

I mean, they’re running Blake out there at center occasionally. They def needed somebody.

It’s funny because at the time of the trade it was thought the nets would have a good/great defense given the quality of their wing defenders, but they’ve had one of the worst defenses in the league since the trade.
Noel obviously isn’t a huge signing by any means but hopefully he helps the nets defensively and they can stay in the playoffs.

If our experience with him is any indication, Noel isn't ... good.

I thought Noel did ok as a defensive backup big. When Stewart and Duren and Bagley were all down, what I saw was ok. But certainly he wasn’t worth another team trading for him and taking on his $9.8M salary. This was inevitable.
