Off topic, but why don't the people on TV know it's Christian WOOD (not woodS)... Just heard Shaq say "Woods" again.. Even Jalen Rose kept saying "Woods" until that show went off the air.

Re: Pistons-Bulls (7pm)
lol Not sure what Christian Wood has to do with the Pistons-Bulls game, but ill play along. I believe they know his name is Wood, it just comes out their mouth with the "s". Sort of like how some folks say they are going to shop at Meijers or Targets..

Nobody says James Hardens or Kevin Durants.
The answer is that they are either being intentionally disrespectful, or they just don't care enough about their job to do it right.

Or…… Wood & Woods are both common last names and neither Durants nor Hardens are.

The name is right on the jersey, lol
If you get paid MILLIONS, you should pronounce their names properly. They have box score sheets with the surname.

I agree, they should pronounce it correctly but that doesn’t mean that it’s being done intentionally or disrespectfully.

Like I said, it's either intentional or careless. You seem to think it's careless. We aren't disagreeing here.

Re: Pistons-Bulls (7pm)
I'll actually be watching this one. Mostly due to having nothing else going on.
People in this forum were calling him Christian Woods. I just chalk it up to not being terribly bright. Edward, Phillip, Adam, Sander...all more common with the S on the end, but those as last names without the S are certainly out there. Tell me a guy's name is Joe Edward and I'm going to call him Edward. I wouldn't call him Edwards any more than I'd call him Ellis.

You really broke down surname mispronunciations

Very comprehensive

I can’t wait till the team is competitive and we have better things to focus on.

Just sayin’…if there’s S there’s no S. I don’t know why people would get confused about that.

Re: Pistons-Bulls (7pm)
Also, San Antonio has finally won a game after dropping like 15 straight and we have an identical record as them now at 15-47. One of us probably won't win 20 games not sure if it will be us or San Antonio. The fact that Weaver rested a bunch of guys against Charlotte makes me think he isn't **** around with our tank.
Chicago sitting at 11th in the East is like right where we were back with Rose, Blake, Drummond, etc.... just too bad to be relevant at all and too good to get a decent lottery pick... They are stuck in no man's land hard core right now just like we were, but at least they have LaVine and DeMar who are both likely positive assets.... even though DeMar is old and Lavine makes a ton of $$$$. I feel like a loss against us tonight would really be like a nail in the coffin on their season.

I’d take Beverly to replace Joseph next year.

Re: Pistons-Bulls (7pm)
Wisemans with a few nice makes, but also bobbled a pass from Ivey inside and really provides so little interior defense.... especially when paired with Bojan up front. Wiseman/Stew might be a workable starting front court but Wiseman/Bojan we're going to really struggle with interior defense.
