Man, I was hoping to see some Ivey vs. Ben.. This kinda **** is also ruining the game.
Carlisle on Mathurin: “I don’t believe he’ll play either of the Detroit games.”

Is this really the first game against the Pacers this year?
Aren't we supposed to play them like 4 times since they are in our division?

Its really bad tonight, which is why there should be an independent doctor that checks on each "injury" or "illness" before each game, and if not legitimate, 250,000 fine from both the player, and team.
It has gotten completely out of control, and it's akin to going to a restaurant, and of the 15 items on the menu, they only have 6, and don't have their top 2 dishes.
I'm out, going elsewhere, and that restaurant isn't going to last long.
If I had it my way, if found that the player, and/or team lied, fine and suspension for a game. It is absolutely out of control.

That's a great idea.

no Tyler vs. Ivey.... man.. This is too much. And as boring as many of these games are, I'm going to be really upset when our season is over.

What would also fix this is if each team had two premium player slots. If one, or both miss the game, all fans only pay 75% ticket price.

Wiseman is really, really talented, and has insane measurables. If he can be coached up properly, he could become an extremely good player.
Great hands.

Good idea Zeeb, but let them make those changes next year when we will be done with the tanking.
I want them to finish this misery all the way and get us assured of top five. Once that is done, next year begins the real climb up the ladder of respectability .

Yep. I said, jokingly of course, that he was our Embiid. I had been waiting and waiting for us to get a guy with that length and reach. His body just looks long and strong. I imagine he will be starting next year but still splitting minutes evenly with Duren.

Depends. If the Pistons draft VW, everything is up in the air for the frontcourt next year.
Wiseman has a strong base, like Embiid.

I really like what I've been seeing out of the Pistons frontcourt rotations, and the bigmen that they have. All talented, all bring something different, but they are all athletic, versatile, and mobile.
When Cade gets back, his options are multitude now. I remember when everyone was screaming to get him a lob threat, now he has some of the most athletic bigs in the league at his disposal.
Man next season is huge, and could be a real turning point for the franchise if things go right.

I like the guy, and he has an amazing, contagious, positive attitude, but some day Isaiah Livers is going to write his memoir with this excerpt:
“In the spring of 2023 I was still in Detroit. I was starting, playing with bums and playing against bums on a nightly basis. We were tanking hard. It was my chance to show I belonged in the NBA, maybe just as a bench player, but that I belonged. I couldn’t do it. I was given the chance and I sucked. Thus my European journey began.”

They are playing with a lot of good energy out there, which is very encouraging for a young team on a 10-game losing streak. No quit in these guys.
