We know we need to improve this position. We got a draft pick and cap space and a new coach. What are we going to do?

Best bet is BB.

I’m guessing BB, but I’m hoping we can snag a younger option in FA. Cam Johnson would be nice.
Trade Bagley and maybe wiseman and draft walker or Hendricks.

I went w Cam Johnson. If we were wagering, I’d need to get some odds for that though  Probably more hopeful than realistic. BB is the safe bet, but he could also be flipped this summer.

Polls are limited to 10 options. The crazy thing is that I could have listed another 5 pretty easily.

I think they're serious about trying to make the play-in next season. I think it's pretty unlikely that we get two better "win now" forwards than Bojan by the start of the season, so that makes Bojan pretty likely to start at SF, since I don't believe he can really start at PF.

Looks like Charlotte is going with Miller so i'll say Bridges.

Give me Whitmore. We need an elite play finisher for all our playmakers (Cade, Ivey, Duren, Killian) to pass to.

Can't preach defense and then start Bojan though. Make him the sixth man bench gunner.

Hopefully it's Cam Johnson! Especially considering there's the claim Monty cried after losing Johnson and Bridges. Apparently they were like family to him.

Signing Cam would be a massive move towards actually winning games next season

Nets have to be willing to let him walk at the price he’s signed at.

I’d be interested in him but the odds feel a bit long. What do you think it would take?

Is there anything reasonable that could be offered as compensation for a S&T?

Wiseman + #31?
That’s me being hopeful and unrealistic

With the Nets already having 21 & 22, I doubt they’d want 31 too.

If the Pistons are going to draft Walker, Beef stew is kind of redundant. Maybe he could be traded for a future first and that’s shipped to the Nets.

Doubt they'd agree to a S&T - dudes like him are coveted around the league and we have the cap space to make a offer while keeping our other assets.

To answer Snakebites: I actually think it'd take a Max offer for them to pause for a moment and I'd hope they'd not match.

We can argue all day if he's actually worth that (he's not lol) but one could certainly make the argument that we can justify offering it.

1 - Cade is 2 years away from getting a Max deal (that he's not worth yet either)

2 - Ivey & Duren are 3 years away from getting whatever they'll get.

Our payroll is in pretty good order so overpaying Johnson the first 2 seasons he's here doesn't cripple us long term or really hamper other moves IF we nail the #5 pick too.

Duren, #5, Johnson, Ivey & Cade

Wiseman, Bagley, Stewart, Bojan, Hayes, #31 plus $7 mil in space to sign another free agent, whatever exceptions we have to use and can then add vet minimum guys.

Johnson is the big fish that would make a statement, fits with our core, is still developing and won't cripple our cap

Not sure I get the Cam Johnson “is still developing” angle.

He’s been in the league four years and he’s 27. Was an old rookie.

Last half season was the first time he's really had a larger role though so obviously the opportunity is there for him to show a expanded game and he's only now really hitting his prime.

Deandre Hunter might be the odd man out in Atlanta? Option there I suppose.

Can we please, PLEASE not start seeing sign & trade offers that include draft picks from THIS year's draft? At some point that has to stop.

FREE AGENCY IS AFTER THE DRAFT!!!
