Kuminga - what would it take?

Looks like we’re missing out on Miller, maybe even Whitmore. We’ll have to overpay to get Cam Johnson, and that might not even work. So….

What’s it take for us to get Kuminga to bolster our wings? GSW are always in “win now” mode, need vets. We don’t want to give away our young core.

Kuminga makes $6M.

BB + Burks is great talent wise, but that’s $30M going out, $6M coming back, don’t think the Warriors do that. Add Poole and #31? #5? Maybe just Burks + #31 for Kuminga?

What offer do you think gets Kuminga on the Pistons?

I am lost on the Kuminga thing. I just don't understand the appeal.

I wouldn't do a deal that included as real assets. Probably not the answer you were looking for, but I honestly don't get it.

We could for sure get Kuminga on this deal.

Kuminga + #19 + $5.9 million cash for #5 + Livers

Feel like that's too much to pay, but I'm certain GS does that deal.

Which should tell you we shouldn't do that deal

I understand the idea behind getting Kuminga but I want no part of Poole and I'm not going to give up #5.

If they could take Burks that would be acceptable to me but it'd have to be in a larger trade where they move Poole & Kuminga cause Burks for Kuminga doesn't work in the checker

Kuminga's trade value is so low that I don't see a trade happening. I think more along the lines of Burks and 31 for Kuminga (plus filler) is realistic for what the Pistons might offer. Hopefully Weaver is moving past the search for the next Josh Jackson.

More I think about the more I think they package Kuminga with Poole to offset some value.

Kuminga isn't worth 5 but let's say he's worth 10 - what would 10 + Poole get them?

Although to be fair you only get 2 years of cheap Kuminga and not 4

No thanks on the first one.

The FO would have to be targeting someone at 19 to do that but I doubt we're low on Stewart or Livers.

3rd is interesting but again is the FO low of Stewart or high on Kuminga? Might depend on what else we do this off-season

I'd probably do the last one considering Livers injury issues and not knowing much about dudes outside the top 10 in the Draft

I'm not really low or high on Kuminga. I think he has potential in a different environment. Athletic, moves off the ball, has shown flashes on both ends but honestly haven't seen enough real film on him to project how he'd fit with us.

He's young and athletic and shot 37% from three last season. He's still not a positive impact player and the Warriors want to make one last run at a title with the Steph/Klay/Draymond trio so it makes sense for them to move on from him if they are going all in for one more title.

It does feel as though, if we wanted him, we would have likely gone after him when we got Wiseman. I also think here in Detroit if given the minutes and the opportunity he would have likely been able to be similar to what Ivey did last season.... I still like Ivey more but Kuminga got a more efficient 9.9 PPG in 20.8 MPG while Ivey got 16.3 in 31.1 MPG.... of course its two different worlds Kuminga isn't on the scooting reports(defensive game plan) and Ivey was probably the #2 mention after Bojan most of last season.

Can't compare Ivey and Kuminga.

One dude is on ball and every opponent would have been putting their best defensive guard on him to start the game.

Opponents would be putting their wing stud on Kuminga so their guy gets some rest on D and any shots he is getting come from movement or the play of others.

Kuminga is better than everyone after the top three of that the type of player you want

I would do this asap if GSW were in agreement. Kuminga is a “potentially” good player. Worth taking a shot on for sure if it’s just Burks+31

First one seems steep but I’d do it. Unlike a lot of people, I don’t think of Poole as a negative contract and he could be Steph lite, especially away from Draymond.

I consider Stewart and Livers both rotation players, but they are good enough to still be in the rotation if we become elite. So I’d rather not include either in a trade unless we knew we were getting a starter back in return

If the Warriors are looking to move Kuminga for a draft pick it makes me question Kuminga. They know more about him then anyone. They dont want him because he doesnt help then win now but a early draft pick will?

I’ll pass on this just like Id of passed on Wiseman. I mean sure if their gonna flip him to us for BB or something cool. Im not giving up 5 though. Now if we were talking a OG or Miles Bridges type talent id be all over it.

Also the 37% from 3pter is off only 2.2 a game. Hes shooting 65% from the line.

He's starting to gripe about playing time. If they pay Draymond they might use him in a salary dump with Poole or something.

Sign me up. The kids an amazing defender. Athletic as can be. Oozing with potential. Just not for #5. Maybe we do it for #10 after we trade Bojan to Dallas
Wow, did Warriors ever screw up. They likepy had chance to trade him and Wiseman for a good player before the 2 of them turned into nothing special.

I won't bore you guys with a seperate thread/poll.
Our #5 plus Bagley and/or Hayes is worth....Siakam? OG?
Or just #5 and our capspace to absorb either player.
Would Toronto do this? Would we? Inquiring minds want to know

I do #5 and Burks for Kuminga and #19. Then combine #19 and Bogdanovic for #10 Dallas. #10 & #31 to try and get to 7-8 if possible.

Try to get Kuminga and Hendricks out of draft night.

I wouldn’t do more than hayes and 31. I think the idea of kuminga is what people are intrigued by.
