Seems.like a no-brainer unless Pistons have somebody heads and shoulders above.in their rankings of those players. Also might want to wait to see if Amen or Miller inexplicably fell ie wait until they're on the clock. Not sure I am interested in the 16th pick in this draft though, maybe get a future FRP instead or flip it to NYK to get the pistons owed from back.
16 can get you GG jackson who is a tremendous athlete and can be a steal of the draft. I don’t mind 16 specially with Weaver drafting I mean the sky is the limit whenever he drafts and he usually fixes it. For example I think we traded Bey to get the second pick of the same draft which also fixes the Hayes pick as wiseman was first on our board not Killian. Not only that but Weaver also knew he’d get top 5 regardless of the lottery and he saw Whitmore/Ausar that are obvious upgrades above Bey. I personally saw all of this once we traded for Wiseman. We all know one thing, Weaver has a couple of tricks up his sleeve this draft, always seems to be the smartest man in the room when it comes to Draft Night. We need two more young assets and it’s over, can flip talent for better by trade deadline. I do believe Weaver is setting himself up for a big spike by the trade deadline which we’ve seen he’s willing to make a risky trade. The only thing we haven’t seen Weaver make is use a large amount of cap space for one player. That’s also likely why he stays as GM. Saving Gores so much money got Weaver the best coach available. Saving on Bey can get Weaver two more assets and possible 2 more in free agency ala Bogan Burke. So it’s definitely a wait and see and I think we have so many doors to take and I do appreciate what Weaver has done in terms of collecting assets. If you forget winning for a minute, you’ll notice our organization is in a far superior position than 4 years ago and that’s all I wanted out of Weaver.
