Each of those things COULD have that level of impact on their own.

The effect of them together wouldn’t be additive like that though.

If Cade is healthy, the team will greatly improve.

He is that good. It's all about Cade. Raises the floor for everyone.

I think 10 games Should be the bare minimum improvement. Anything less would be a disappointment.

15 game improvement would great. 32 wins is practically double last season’s total.

20 game improvement would have to even calm down the Troy Weaver haters.

The spread is fair. 10 games sounds about right.

Monty should be good for the team but there might also be a learning curve with him (young players, new system, Ivey/Duren not having reps with Cade yet, etc).

A bad start is possible, but hopefully we improve throughout the year.

Everyone used to complain when SVG was here that at the end of the season we'd have some meaningless win streak as other teams tanked and got higher draft picks while we were always in the 6-10 range.

Now?

People complain we shut dudes down, play the lesser dudes a lot and pick in the top 5!

The difference now is that it’s been 15 years since we’ve been good, and we’ve got young talent that we’d all like to see progress.

If we end up having to tank next year because that progress wasn’t made fans will be rightfully unhappy.

I have no issues with tanking if we’re not making the playoffs

My only concern is when we don’t play the kids big minutes. If we’re gonna lose, I’d rather watch the kids play a ton and lose than watch the vets crap out.

I have a few predictions. Ausar is gonna be the second best player on the court not Ivey or Duren. Duren has potential for the most impact. Ausar is a rookie of the year candidate Top 5. I think he’s that good. Maybe I’m just sipping the kool aid of summer league but I know NBA movement and that is a lot of precise control on his body movement. It’s pretty special to have Cade Ivey Ausar Duren core. I mean the sky is the limit. I’d give these guys 2 more years and man I think we have a 10 year dynasty. I don’t see how these players can’t all become amazing barring injuries. I also think Ivey is getting slept on. Man I didn’t expect him to be that good the last 2 months of the season. He took it to another gear. In my opinion the potential of the team starts with Cade and ends with Duren. But Ausar can be an elite two way wing with an efficient shot. I even like his shot a lot. I’m excited to watch all the talent. To me a a real basketball fan I’ve not only been a die hard Piston but I learned to appreciate the whole league. I was just desperate to watch any talent cuz I spend a lot of time following basketball. The fact that we have this much young talent just to score the ball, I love it. We really haven’t had talent on this team since the 00s. Man even the coach it took us like 15 years to get to here. Another top 10 pick coming? I don’t mind at all. Keep the talent coming.

And this is the first time we've had this much young talent on the roster.

But people still complain because we're not winning! You can't have a great collection of young guns AND win a lot of games - it doesn't work that way

I see us in the range of 6-9. Two reasons. First, it’s very difficult to tank in the Top 5 because you always have 3-4 other teams that are tanking too. Second, it’s difficult to get into the Play In. There’s always 5-6 teams that don’t make the Play In when they want to. So if we aren’t tanking and we’re not good enough to almost make the Play In I see us in the 6-9 range. You know what that is? Improvement! Haha and that means we can make a Hendricks type of pick at 9? We all know we’re gonna drop. If we move up? The whole story changes after that. Keep the talent coming. The only way I see next year as a big disappoint is injuries. I’m just so sick of them.

I think we are still bottom-4 along with San Antonio, Washington and Charlotte.

I will take the Over on 27.5 wins.
Not only are we rolling with 4 diverse, super high potential young guys that each bring different strengths in Duren, Ausser, Ivey and Cade.
We now also have a collection of elite outside shooting vets in Bojan, Harris, Morris and Burkes.

These dudes are gonna score in volume, raining 3's better tban any Pistons team weve ever had.
I expect a .500 level season and to be hunting a Play-in slot.
