Jalen Duren & Cade Cunningham named to USA Select team.

Quite a honor for young Jalen Duren. For those that don't know, the select team practices against the US team to get them ready for for their upcoming tournament. They will practice against team USA on Aug 3rd-6th in Vegas. Other notables on the team include Jalen Green, Chet Holmgren, Herb Jones, Keegan Murray, Naz Reid, and Jalen Williams.
A good chance for Cade and Duren to develop some on court chemistry before training camp.

As an addendum, Cade was actually asked to play for the main team, but turned down the offer, to focus on the upcoming NBA season.

pretty cool experience for them but it's only a few days of practice. i remember when stanley johnson was on the select team, was the primary ball handler and it really didn't benefit him.
i don't love the main roster but it'll be cool to see walker kessler being able to just park in the paint with no defensive 3-second rule.

Our top team looking soft as HELL. Getting bodied by Payton Pritchard, lolz.
Brunson trying to guard Cade was funny, too. First one was on Haliburton, my bad.

Of course. Cade is a future all-nba player, and he is going to make Duren amazing.

Also from Joe Vardon, The Athletic: Cunningham dominated both periods, beating just about every guard who was in front of him off the dribble. Team sources told The Athletic that Ingram, Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Jackson, and Cam Johnson were the first five out there for the Americans.
