OPENING NIGHT! Pistons @ Heat 730pm

Post#1 » by ComboGuardCity » Wed Oct 25, 2023 5:15 pm

It’s opening night and we open up as 9 point underdogs.

I’ll add Dulcer’s lineups once he posts it, but what wanted to get the conversation going. What are you excited to see? What is your irrational homer take to start the year?

I think we come out strong tonight and I think we might steal one.

Ya baby! We gonna steal this one with some impressive performances from our youngins. Time to shock the world!

Ivey starting means Monty saw what he needed to see. Hopefully he does

Excited to see Ausar. Watching the over on 5.5 rebounds - seems he should reach that easy.

I'm very very excited for Ausar.

Excited to see Duren.

Looking forward but stressed to see Cade, Ivey and Stewart.

I hope Monty plays Sasser a bit. But most of all I hope we somehow pull off a win. Our fan base needs it.

If these young guys just come out and compete as hard as they can, play defense and hustle we gonna be alright. They should get lots of transition points and be able to get to the rim. Very athletic. Spacing gonna be bad but for now that's ok.

"Thompson’s 111.5 defensive rating through preseason would have him ranked among the best defenders in the league, if the games were real."

I admire you. That used to be me but the Pistons sucked all the optimism out of me and watching the parts I did see in this preseason made me feel worse about the team if anything. You can get off my lawn now

As for tonight, I think they'll play well for a half but will get worn down and the Heat pull away late similar to a lot of games last season.

I must say I'm pleased that Troy drafted Ausar over Taylor Hendricks, which was who I wanted. He looked awful in preseason.

Let's beat Jimmy "Emo" Butler and his team into the ground!

I'm not too far off from you but before the first game starts I can at least fake it and pray

I am excited - though only lukewarm - for the Pistons tonight. I admit this sadly, but I quickly checked the other games in case I can't stand watching the Pistons get a beat-down. The no real vets thing makes a difference out there.

This year may not have many gold nuggets, but I will definitely enjoy hearing opposing announcers discover what Ausar looks like on an NBA floor. It may not lead to wins right off the bat, but it might give us fans some hope this season.

I like Ivey as the sixth man. Curious to see if it will work - if Monty sticks to that.

I'm excited to see some real nba basketball again. Just hoping we play hard and are competitive. Not really expecting much unless cade goes full beast mode.

Sorry bro, I don't make those infografics anymore. I wish I could, but I wanted to save some time from my agenda to be with my kids, so I sacrificed this.

I'm expecting Miami to have a bad game and give us an opportunity to steal one.
