Watching James play as a rookie I thought he would have a big role with the Warriors. I have been waiting to see what he would do this season & wasn't expecting to see 3 dnp's. I know you guys are loaded with bigs, but what is going on with Wiseman?

He was competing with Marvin Bagley for backup center minutes behind Duren. There isn't room in the rotation for both of them. Wiseman had a nice game in preseason but Bagley was a little better overall. I'm guessing he gets a chance at some point this season assuming he doesn't get traded.

Duren is way better than him and Bagley is at least a little better than him so there just aren't any minutes. He also isn't at all playable with Duren or Bagley, so yeah. I'm sure some point in the year will come where someone is injured and maybe he'll get a chance for those 10-15mpg, but overall his BBIQ is just too low and Monty isn't a guy to just force someone into the lineup entirely on "potential". Duren is finally getting those 30+ mpg that he deserved last year and Wiseman was eating into.

Physical gifts don’t match up with the basketball talent level. He’s a step slow on both ends 99% of the time.

Duren, Stewart, and Bagley are on fire right now, and healthy. Wiseman will get minutes when Bagley cools off or someone gets hurt.

We would have a much more balanced roster with Bey instead of Wiseman.

Bey wasn't just bad on defense, he was the worst.
If he worked on his defense, as much as he worked out, he would still be on the team.
Also, he thinks he's Paul Pierce, when he clearly is not.

He would play in our 2nd unit right now, Wiseman is just dead cap space.

I can't argue that. Wiseman has an unbelievable amount of work to do, to become even a bench big.

As much as having Wiseman seems like a waste, at least we have someone to play when one of our bigs gets injured.
Getting rid of Bey is addition by subtraction. Don't miss him a bit.

Yeah, Bey would be competing for those Joe Harris minutes.
Monty's not going to give minutes to anyone who's not bringing defensive intensity, though. This is what building a culture looks like and I'm here for it.

He's as bad on D as Ivey and way worse on offense (black hole, super streaky). Bey playing a single one of Ausar's minutes would be a travesty. There were like 10 dirt cheap free agents from the summer I'd prefer over him.
I'd take those 2nd rounders though.

He would be in our 2nd unit, who's talking about him take Ausar minutes?

Naturally, he would, unless he would be getting the Wiseman treatment when Bojan comes back. Bojan, Ausar, Livers, Burks, and Cade are all better players to get minutes at the 3 than Bey. He's basically on par with Joe Harris. Neither are good on D. Harris is a better shooter, Bey will get you some more action going toward the rim (at the expense of watching him isolate and never pass). I just think he's a bad basketball player who hurts you a lot a more than he helps every couple weeks when he's actually hitting those horrible side-step 3's.

Bey is better than 0-0-0-0-0 with no defense Joe Harris.

You can't call Joe Harris "no defense" in defense of Saddiq Bey lol. These dudes are a wash and neither are rotation players on this team if we weren't missing 2 forwards in Livers and Bojan. At least Harris is a veteran locker room voice and a team-first guy who isn't going to mope about shots and playing time. We already know when the team asked Saddiq to be more unselfish and play to his strengths he ignored them and did his own thing. It's why he isn't on this squad anymore.

You can find players of Bey's caliber. Not really something that moves the needle either way.

Harris + 2nd round pick > Bey - 4 2nd round picks

I'd rather have an empty roster spot (or emergency Center) than Bey's low BBIQ empty calories. This team is better off without him.
I'd rather have gotten picks for Bey instead of Wiseman, though.
