Where-Home of the beer goggles. Milwaukee,
@Fiserv forum.

When-8PM ET

What to look for;

Who the hell is healthy, and can actually contribute. The Pistons are not a bad team, or at least not as bad as their record would indicate. I'll update on who is going to be in uniform, when I find out.

Ivey is OUT (which is too bad, because he would have got a ton of minutes)
Burks is OUT
Joe Harris will be re-evaluated in 10-14 days.
Duren is questionable

They all better get healthy, I'm driving from Omaha to Detroit on Friday and catching the two home tourney games. Haha

Sorry man. You’re probably out of luck.

I’m not sure this is worth my time with so many rotation guys hurt.

They are a bad team. I think most of use picked them to do 2-8 or 3-7 to start even if healthy. Most national polls had us bottom 3. The only really shining light is that our defense has been much, much better to start the year. If we can keep that up and get some guys back, we might not be a bottom 5 team.

Its funny how each year I can be excited just watching the new guys play. Last year I was loving every time we'd see Duren out there... this year Ausar really has me exciting watching the level at which he competes.

Two years ago obviously it was all about Cade. Even when we've been really bad, I've mostly be able to enjoy watching the young guys make plays out there.

This one might get ugly. My guess:

Bucks - 128
Pistons - 101

Oh, the Pistons are a bad team and are full marks for 2-6 but it's a tough evaluation because literally every vet is out, not to mention Duren and Ivey missing multiple games.
They're forced into playing Umude (who, yes, had a great game), Rhoden and Wiseman for that matter whose confidence is completely in the dumper so it's a rough lineup now.

Young + injured + best player doesn't get a superstar whistle from the refs yet = tough to win in this league

If Cade and Ausar are playing, I'll be happy. Got to see Duren and Ivey last year on our trip up.

Maybe we should just concede so as to avoid getting anyone else hurt? ;-)

I disagree, I think, depending on what you mean by bad team.

Right now? Yup, bad team, but I would argue that they would be much, MUCH better if everyone was healthy. They look sharp for periods, then fall apart, which is expected of a young team, but when your missing that many players, for this long, its gonna catch up to you.

Now that argument is of course predicated on that the team when healthy, would be better then it is now. I think that's a fair assessment, seeing as how all of them are rotation players, and two starters.(Bojan/Duren)

I honestly wonder what the Pistons record would be right now, if everyone was healthy to start the season. Ill bet anything it wouldn't be 2-6

bottom 5 bad. Currently sitting at #3 worst. We are projected and that's where we are. For scale, the 5th worst team won 33 games last year. Vegas pegs us at 27. If we got anything close to 35 wins, that would be a massive overperform.

If we’re not a bad team, then I’m not sure how many teams are.

There’s still time to turn it around, of course.

But right now? Bad.

Really easy to call the team bad missing so many players.

We'll see when the team approaches something close to healthy.

Yeah. We might recover when we get healthy.

But the team needs to prove that- nobody is going to assume we’re any good until the team proves it. We’ve followed up a 17 win season with a 2-6 start.

Fair or not we need results, not excuses.

It's not complicated that the Pistons suck right now. I just checked the NBA rookie rankings and that might be the high point of Piston fandom for the day.

We’re on pace for a +3 win improvement. That’s nearly 18% more wins.

~ Weaver after the season probably if this continues regardless of injury.

I wonder what Jaden has. Seems pretty bad if he was ruled out yesterday for today. Is it Covid and there are still protocols?

If we win 20 games I don’t think he’ll be around long enough to do post season interviews.
