Lakers@Pistons 7PM LCA

Post#1 » by zeebneeb » Wed Nov 29, 2023 8:56 pm

Welp, im going to this game, so I'm hoping for at least a competitive one, because I can't switch the damn channel this time.

Bojan/Harris/Morris-OUT

Rui/Vanderbilt-OUT

LeBron/AD-questionable

What to watch for;

Some kind of passion?

Key matchups;

For me, it's who Ausar is guarding, and of the Lakers are going to throw 2-4 people at Cade every trip up the floor, like every other team has done.

For the sake of Pistons fans paying to go to this game, I hope Bron plays. If he doesn’t I think we win this game.

I actually couldn't believe how high ticket prices were for this one. Must be a lot of Lakers/LeBron fans in Michigan going to the game.

How much are the tickets? The last time I went to The Palace, I'd go on ebay and get tickets for $1 and almost any seat at The Palace was decent.

My friend asked me a question and I couldn't answer. How we were 10th last year, despite our #1 pick being out, and being the worst team in the league.

They have variable pricing depending on how big of a game it is... against the Warriors you could buy club tickets with food and drinks included for like $100 (within the front few rows) and for this game they are like $500-$900). Just got to be the fact its LeBron and the Lakers.

To be fair, you’re paying to see one of the Top 2 players of all time probably for one of the last times.

AD and Lebron are apparently both in tonight.

We're in a weird (in a funny way) place where I don't think stars are going to intentionally be sitting against us as long as we're on this extremely long losing streak because no one wants to be the team that breaks the losing streak. This is usually the type of game where one or both of AD and Lebron would stay at the hotel.

The funny thing to me is I think people don’t want to sit against Detroit because of their history, could be wrong. LeBron definitely don’t want to sit vs Detroit they have a lot of history he crushed our going to work and will always want to any chance he has.

Eh, although losing to Lebron and trash in the 07 conference finals was crushing and extremely embarrassing, we actually bounced back from that and got to the conference finals one last time against the Big 3 Celtics... and got dumped on by Paul Pierce. Then it ended....

Brick city early for us. 8-6 lead quickly shifts to us being down 8-15.

Yeah, we didn’t run into LeBron in 08, but we did in 09 4-0 cleveland. That 25 points in a row in 07 still gives me tears lol

We have 12 FGs so far. Ausar shot twice from 3 and Stewart 3 times. Great offense. I am not even counting Duren ridiculous brick.

Livers with some really weak defense just letting the opponent easily into the paint on drives.... and traveling and bricking threes on offense. This kid might not be in the NBA after this season just like Diallo last season. Livers has been a huge disappointment after offseason hype on him possibly being a starter.

Remember when Duren was out, and some guys here said that was the reason this team looked so bad?

Riiiight.

Monty better put up or shut up. If one guy isn't bringing it, put someone else in.

Monty shouldn't force Ausar and Stew to shoot 3's.. It's not their game. Stew plays best inside for many reasons. And Ausar has a good two dribble mid-range pull-up and turn-around that seem to go in a majority of the time.
