Game 21: Grizz (5-14) @ Pistons (2-18) Dec. 6 7:00 PM EST
Back to the court tonight.
Vegas actually installed Detroit as a 1 point favorite. Line has moved to Grizz -2, currently.
After 3 off days to hold practices and figure some things out with Bojan back in the fold, I expect Monty to have the team ready to play tonight. This is the type of game where coaching impact should be apparent, one way or another.

This is the game that will decide if the Pistons set the all-time loser streak.flow wrote:Back to the court tonight.

If the Pistons lose tonight, they have a great chance at indeed doing it.
They will lose the next 6 after this game, so their streak will be at 24 losses in a row.
Then the Utah game happens, another good chance at winning.
The overall record for a losing streak would be 29 games in a row. single season record, is 26 games in a row.
Just for those not really paying attention, the Pistons are already in the record books again, as the 9th longest losing streak in NBA history, and the sixth longest single season losing streak in NBA history.
(These numbers are derived from counting ties as a single record holder)

Memphis has been struggling.... Hope we can with this one. Curious to see how minutes are distributed.

I’m not sure how this go. I’d think we come out and win, but do the Grizzlies play hard every play and game? If so jaren Jackson, rose, and some guy I never heard of could pull it out.

For my own sanity Ive decided to do an emotional reset on the team and I am currently treating this as game 2 of the season. (Bogie time)
So yeah current Stones are 0-1 lets get this one and get to .500!

It's my birthday today, so they better win. Or none of this has been worth it.

The team has a been horrific, but if we start putting out lineups with actual NBA quality floor spaces on a regular basis, we'll start winning some games. We still won't be good or anything, but at least it may be enjoyable to watch.

I am positive at the moment, as the direction of the team is absolutely going to change, one way or another.Canadafan wrote:zeebneeb wrote:This is the game that will decide if the Pistons set the all-time loser streak.flow wrote:Back to the court tonight.

Team has good pieces in place, and is searching for that momentum, and experience to become something more then a traveling circus, pretending to be a team.
My best guess, is that Bojans addition will show Weaver, unequivocally, that the team needs, and must have a scorer next to Cade, and will finally get off his dead ass, and get one, that isn't 34 years old.
The past two games, the Pistons have looked like an NBA team.
I wanted Malik Monk, and man he would have been perfect. Someone who is just going to score the ball, and doesn't care how many shots it takes.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm not looking at the record although it's hard to ignore a historic losing streak but progression is all I want to see. This is a game they need to win though, just for their psyche if nothing else.

We’ll definitely be more enjoyable to watch, and it’s way too early to punt the season away, despite what some people might think. Bojan absolutely forces Monte’s hand to put out more sensible lineups.

This is our best chance to win a game for the rest of the year! Perhaps Utah at LCA on Dec 21st also a "winnable" game... or at least a game at home against a team with a below .400 winning percentage. Lets hope it ends tonight.

I see you are all back again too. At some point this is self inflicted punishment.
