Game 28: Pistons vs. Jazz 7PM EST

I think this is a team we can beat. We played much better last game, and hope it carries over. Utah had a great start last year, not this year, and on NBA TV, it was mentioned Utah was listening for offers on Markannen. Who knows if its true, but maybe they have personal issues.. Anything for us to take advantage of, get a win.
Stew and Killian are listed as PROBABLE
"Waiting So Long" (for a win)

I think our coaches and players have this one circled on the calendar. We better go all out and get this win. I'll be surprised if we at least don't put up a good fight. I'm going to the game too so i have a vested interest in this one.

I agree. This is our playoff game for the year. I really don’t want the record.

On Markannen, my buddy is a HUGE Jazz fan and said the Utah beat writers are indicating that the Jazz are seeking in the area of 5 firsts for him. I believe he said it was tossed around that Ivey + 4 firsts would likely be the starting point in the discussion.

Our firsts are the most valuable in the league for all the wrong reasons

They got a ton of picks from Gobert and Mitchell... OKC has a ton, and other teams are going to probably low-ball them.

* The Jazz are on a back-to-back.
* The Jazz lost in Cleveland last night. To a Cleveland team playing without Mitchell, Garland and Mobley.
* Despite missing Mitchell, Garland & Mobley, the Cavs scored 126 points.
* With 3 starters out, Cleveland had to start 3 bench players. As a result, their bench consisted of only 4 players last night. And those 4 players combined for 75 points.
Inspite of all this, the Jazz are still favored here tonight. That's how bad it is.

Is is probably our best chance for a W this year for sure. It's crazy we've grown to like 4-50 since trading Bey 10.5 months ago.
Winning 7.4% of your games over a stretch of almost a calendar year is just flat out unbelievable to me. This feels more crazy than the Lions going 0-16 in 2008.

Yep, the line has actually flipped now. Detroit is FAVORED by 2.5.
This is really a must win game for Monty. If we lose tonight, with the entire Utah roster out, he might be done.

The anxiety of losing seems to make the game exciting, because I start out the game thinking, "Let's not go down, and let's try to get a lead" (before I finish the 2nd half early tomorrow morning) to bookend the sleep.

Bey went from shooting 40-35% to 48-40% in Atlanta. We are horribly on defense, and have to constantly play against a set defense. I remember love playing against young teams during the 2000s because even though we'd win, they had a fun playing style. You have to use the youth to our advantage. Our guys should force the interior and make their defense work. More cutting and general movement without the ball.

We lost to a Reggie Jackson led Denver, and it wasn't even close.
