Mike Muscala got a buyout from the Pistons. opens up 2 spots.
We need a starting center like Bagley who can score and rebound Hmmm ,we should have not traded him.

Sucks Musky didn't want to play here, but I have an in-house solution, that is elegant. It does depend on captain idiot to see it, but I digress;

Cade/Flynn
Ivey/Sasser
Grimes/TBJ(on defense Cade gets SF duty)
Tek/Ausar
Duren/Stewart

Mix and match thereafter. It's perfect. Shooters all over the place, and guards who can handle the ball. I've been impressed with Flynn as of late, who can run an offense, so Sasser can go nuts in the second unit properly. If dolt insists on going 10 deep every damn game, this is a solution.

That starting 5 is shooting to the max.

It also fits age-wise

Cade 22
Ivey 22
Stewart 22
Duren 20
Ausar 21
Grimes 23
Sasser 23
TBJ 24
Flynn 25
Tek 28

It's absolutely perfect, team can grow together.

Did you forget to use the green font? Bags is out there helping the wizards to 12 straight losses. If we could clone bagley and send them to charlotte, portland and SanAntonio, we might climb out of the bottom 5.

Stanley Umude already got one of those 2 slots and we have a team option for him next season.

It is unclear if the Pistons will keep the spot open, convert a current two-way player to a standard contract, or sign a player off the street.

As soon as James Bouknight hit the buyout market, I figured his next move would be to join the Detroit Pistons, as he fits Troy Weaver’s modus operandi of taking flyers on high draft bust.

Let's leave it open and we can try a few guys on 10 days rather that making a full year commitment now.

I think that Matt Hurt just signed a second 10 day contract with Memphis. How about D.J. Wilson? 21 ppg, 10 rpg, 39% from 3 on 5 attempts/game, 58% overall, 74% ft, 1.6 block, 5 assists. He's 6'10" and a true power forward. He left Michigan too early and seemed to have maturity issues, as I recall. We really need to mine the G league better. Buddy Boheim? What a joke!

DJ Wilson is a name I haven't heard in a long time. I remember him on that Michigan team with Mo Wanger and Duncan Robinson he was a key guy for them.

Haven't seen anything of him in the NBA really but I just googled him and its crazy but he's 28 already. I'd be ok with a 10 day to see if he gels with the guys.

Bagley was the leading scorer in some of those games,so it was'nt his fault

We waived Gallo and Muscala, which actually bummed me out a bit. Both are better than Wiseman.

We still COMFORTABLY won the trade with the Wizards.

I'd be feeling downright PEACHY if we were prepared to start Cade/Ivey/Fontecchio/Ausar/Duran for the rest of the year. Stewart is our best backup point guard and our worst power forward. Fontecchio is playing like he needs to be a starter.

This reeks of Buddy Boeheim being upgraded to a full-time contract.

We did not win the trade ,we gave 2 seconds to get Bagley and gave 2 more seconds again to give him away .now he's starting every day for washington. We lost the trade dealing with Bagley. We did not get a starter for the pistons like washington did.Now we need to find a back up Center so were back to square one.

Weavers plan is to force Monty to have no choice but to play Wiseman obv

Bagley sucks and was overpaid, what are you even arguing? That you want Bagley and his contract back? My goodness.
Getting rid of Bagley alone was a win, giving up two fairly meaningless 2nds doesn't make it not a win. Trading for Bagley was a mistake, re-signing Bagley was a mistake, trading Bagley was not a mistake.

They could go dumpster diving in the G-League for someone like Jordan Bell or Khem Birch, but there hardly seems a point to such a move unless they just want a warm body, though Bell is averaging 2.8 blocks per game.

Bagley does not suck!!!! NY Piston you don't know basketball and seconds are not meaningless their assets for a team to use correctly not just to give away. The stats he's putting up is not an overpay ,you need to look at the facts.

He's putting up great numbers and the Pistons did not know how to play him, they should have started him with Duran..

Marvin Bagley III First Four Games With Wizards:
72 Points
45 Rebounds
6 Assists

Marvin Bagley III With The Wizards:

20 Points | 11 Rebounds | 62.5% FG
21 Points | 12 Rebounds | 42.1% FG
14 Points | 7 Rebounds | 55.6% FG
17 Points | 15 Rebounds | 87.5% FG
