Just thought I’d start a thread on actual trades that should be moving hot the next week or so.

First one up - Caruso for Giddy (first reported by MortSahlfan in Around The League thread)

Great for OKC.

It was crazy to me Bulls fans wanting multiple picks for Caruso.

Well some wanted multiple 1sts for Bojan as well so I guess it's the ol over value of a teams player.

We never know what is the truth though. And FRPs are not all the same. We might have been offered a 2027 and 2029 Milwaukee picks, which are closer to SRPs.

Great for OKC as now they have a POA defender to help Dort. SGA gets the easier assignment at all times.

Weird deal for Chicago - are they going to rebuild or is this taking a longer view giving AC has a expiring deal?

I wonder if Chicago would have taken Ivey for Caruso. It's the type of trade that would have made a major difference and helped us with the culture change around here.

a lot of risk hoping Caruso would re-sign in Detroit in 1 year at 31 years old. OKC has a perfect situation for him, so it's not a huge risk for them. Not to mention they have a massive number of picks, so they could replace Caruso if he walked.

Your point stands, but Milwaukee isn't the best example.

Giannis is 29 with a TON of mileage on him
Lillard is 33
Middleton is 32
Lopez is 36
They also have like zero young talent.

That team is about to embark on a steep decline. Any of the Bucks' future picks are actually attractive assets.

Which is one of the reasons, I was not thrilled Weaver gave away that '25 Bucks first he got from Portland while eating big contracts from the Knicks. Plus that '25 draft is looking like its going to be loaded.

Agree, I could have used a better team.

Would love to sneak in and get I. Joe from OKC if their plan is to sign Caruso longterm.

If the bulls move their vets, then it's a good deal for them.
I don't think they accept Ivey for Caruso since white has shown a lot last season and he's a similar player

If the Pistons do indeed move Stewart, the team better get back something good. He is a stretch 4/5 that plays good defense, so his value will be higher then we think.

He'd be a solid get for a postseason-caliber team that needs a spacer at center. Think New Orleans, which would be the perfect fit for him.

He played big minutes at power forward this season only because the former front office was crewed by doofuses. He hasn't got the physical assets necessary to play anything outside of situational minutes at power forward. He never did, and he never will.

Stew has a solid argument for being our second best player or at the very least our second best player asset.

Hmmmmm. Maybe we are signing Claxton and trading Stew. Stew Ivey #5 for Lauri let's gooooo lol. Still have ton Of cap left to sign 2 guys

Huerter&13 for Stewart sounds great to me, and it should sound great to Kings fans as well. They needed some muscle upfront in the worst way.

It doesn't matter what we think of Stewart, it's what other teams think of Stewart. From many reports, he was the second most asked about player on the team for trades, behind Cade.

That is value perceived.

I wouldn't love it but could definitely be talked into Barnes & Huerter + #13. Alot to absorb but if you want good things gotta give up good things. (Cap space)
