Will Pistons Make a Trade Today?

Trading the pic, or making a separate trade. (Today or Tomorrow, since there's this new day for round 2)

I'm very curious, because I have no idea either way.. I don't know Trajan, and he was basically the Weaver under Griffin. Also, it would be interesting to see the results in the future and see how close/far we were.

I hope we trade the pick for a 2-way player in his mid-20s, so that probably won't happen. But I hope for the best.

I hope he makes half a dozen of them!

You have to figure yes, because Trajan has nothing invested into any single Pistons player.

I voted yes, but if we don't move down, do we really do other deals in the 1st round of this draft?

Hopefully for an additional pick in this draft. Would love for the night to end with Clingan/Knecht somehow.

Low odds for any trades though. Langdon has been in time for tea, maybe a round of golf. Not enough time to assess, and start trading players.

Hopefully the pick is one that makes sense.

I have a gut feeling Clingan will be available at 5 and we'll move back to 9 with Memphis. Maybe Santi Aldama and additional draft compensation coming our way.

I just hope we value and respect our assets properly, so in 4 years we are not a 14 wins team with a negative war chest and a bunch of young players that are valued a lot lower than the place they were drafted because they don't fit well together and were not developed properly.

New regime, new hope, I know I am setting up myself for disapointment but oh well.

I think we’re trading down.

I doubt any players are traded away or for though.

I hope you are right.

There just isn't anything exciting that will be there at 5. I realize a prospect doesn't have to be "exciting" to push a team's needle, but to that point I also don't forsee any legitimate needle pushing talent available at 5 either.

If they move Grimes for the Mavs THJ package ill be disappointed, but moving down if neither Risacher nor Sheppard are available makes sense in my books. Can't wait to see how this draft pans out, especially considering we could still make cap space based trades as a third team or something.

Trading down, but no blockbuster type of trades.

I voted no, not because I feel strongly that we won’t trade down, but because I think trades are historically less common than standing pat.

I'll say no. If it was Weaver I would say 100% yes but I just don't have a feel for Langdon so I'll guess that Clingan, for instance, gets taken before 5 and they stand pat.

One thing I'll say about Weaver is that he made draft night fun even if there were wrong decisions thrown in there in retrospect. I hope they don't just stay at 5 and draft Buzelis then call it a night.

I would like to get some moves done, but I'm not optimistic. TL has only been in Detroit for a short time and he's still getting his staff together.

Wizards traded away their best young player for the #14 and a 2029 first rounder.... Sucks to be a Wizards fan worse than it sucks to be a Pistons fan I think.

I think Deni has less value to a bad team.

If anything their mistake was trading him to a bad team. The value isn’t terrible. It feels very “eh” to me.

I’m sure it feels worse if you’re a Wizard fan.

Avdija isn't really all that great.

I would have totally made that same trade with Portland for Ivey or Duren.

I think Cade is least likely. Ausar. Duren. Ivey. In that order.
I think we'll re-sign Font, who I like.

I wouldn't mind trading #5 for Deni and his contract. Maybe what Washington got is better than the #5? I am not sure.
