Can add Holland to the list, these kids don’t get drafted up top just to be ignored, he’s got a higher ceiling than Ivey Duren and Ausar. Also Ausar can be added, first three years of rookies they improve the most and some plateau after that and some keep getting better every year like Jaylen Brown.

Yeah were certainly set up to have a better season. The big question will be, how much better? I think most around here assume we'll be bottom 7 in the league.

I think doubling our wins to 28 is a feasible goal. If we’ve gotten to 30+ wins, this season will have been a massive success

25-30 wins
Anything under 20 feels like you're trying to lose

Holland has a huge upside for sure, but I think all 3 of those players you listed have similar potential, especially Ausar. All are insane athletes. Let’s see what better coaching can do.

With the upgrades and another year of development, I see a 25 win floor & a 35 win ceiling.
I’m aiming to double the win total in that 28-30 range.

Factually, we were a 14 win team last year. But all our vets and shooters were injured way too much. And we had a coach who didn’t want to be here. I’m thinking the same roster and a few healthy vets gets us to 20 wins easily.
Tobias, THJ and a full season of Fontecchio will help a lot for our offense. We’re still likely to add a couple of more vets, probably average in talent but overpaid to round out the roster. And the big question is will the improved shooting release a new level of Cade?
22 win floor, 35 win ceiling sounds about right...

23-33 win team max at this point but we still got 23m left so we should be able to buy a couple more worth of talent at least.

We replaced burks and bojan with thj and Tobias. Upgrades, sure. It looks like we might be running back the rest of the rotation players and adding another raw rookie. Unless we make more moves, we are still arguably the worst team in the league on paper. Both Ivey and duren regressed last, so I’m not counting on either until they show they are interested in playing nba level defense.
The roster is still a mess of talent that doesn’t seem to mesh well.

We also effectively added Fontecchio, who only played 16 games.
But yeah, we still won’t be anywhere near play-in. I think as of now we’re still bottom 3, bottom 5 at best.
And if we aren’t it’s because Cade took a leap, and/or other young players. Our vets aren’t good enough. And that would be good. Even with the whole lottery thing folks should NOT be rooting for us remaining in the basement.

Also gotta factor in some teams got worse in the East
Nets
Bulls losing derozan
Wizards
Hornets if they lose Bridges
Raptors pretty much stayed the same
Hawks lost murray

Not rooting for it, but 20 wins is well without the realm of likely outcomes

Factor in outright tanking from somemteams as this will be a very strong draft class. Detroit can't do that anymore overtly and will win games against overt tankers later in the season. I think Detroit will pick in the 8-10 range.

Atlanta got into the play-in w 36 wins last year. Remember, this is the East

Do you really think this team has anywhere near 36 win talent?

I'd be stunned if we hit 30. And happy. That would be a major improvement.

THJ hasn't been a plus player for his teams the majority of his career. Is he better than what we had last season? Sure, but that speaks more to horrendous roster construction than anything else. His defense is still poor.
Harris is a legit scoring threat on offense at the 4; something we have sorely lacked but his defense is pretty bad. He's a slight upgrade from Bojan.
The young guys took large steps back in terms of career potential over the course of last year; the exception being Cade.
I had last year's team pegged at 32 wins counting on big improvements from Cade as well as Duren and Ivey. I don't have the same positive outlook on the last 2 this year.
25 wins with a weaker East and less injuries. If Ausar learns to shoot from range that goes to 30 wins but with his injury I think he's losing a lot of practice time that he really needs.
We frittered away our cap space for marginal players with no long term potential. The can has been kicked down the road another 1-2 years.

Harris is going to help a lot. A Sassar, Cade, Fontecchio, Harris, Stewart lineup can actually shoot. If the shooting coach is magical, we could certainly win 30 games w Ivey and Thompson improving their 3pters.
How’s this for a prediction - we will win as many games as the combined 3 pt% from Thompson and Ivey.

I think 25 wins and I don't understand how people are saying they'd be happy with 30 wins. lmao it'll still be a crappy losing season. Hopefully some of these young guys make a jump so we could at least make the play in
